Schedule: -Full Time - - - Shift: Nights The community you'll be
caring for: ---- - - -AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed
community hospital, has been serving East Orlando residents since
1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a
fast-growing area --- - - -A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion
project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient
tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic
care experience --- - - -Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018
The role you'll contribute: - -The Respiratory Professional
Supervisor is responsible for the provision/supervision of
respiratory clinical care responsibilities to age specific groups.
Respiratory Care processes include assessing, planning,
implementing, delivering, and evaluating the treatment, care, and
patient needs to achieve goals. Adheres to the AdventHealth
Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all
applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting
bodies. The value you'll bring to the team: Demonstrates, through
behavior, AdventHealth Orlando's service standards. Assesses and
makes appropriate decisions and interventions according to patient
evaluation / needs. Sets patient goals, assisting in the
development of a plan of care along with the multidisciplinary
team. Evaluates / interpret diagnostic data including but not
limited to lab results and monitoring data. Communicates
effectively with the multi-disciplinary team. Satisfactorily
completes department orientation, airway management certification,
critical care training program, Infant/ Pediatric Emergency
training program (campus specific), -and advanced critical
care-training program, and is proficient at all applicable
procedures defined below. Attend new leader orientation and
on-going management/leadership classes. Ensures that performance
appraisals are completed on time. - Is fair and consistent with
employees. - Counsels staff and initiates progressive discipline as
needed. - Regularly monitors staff activities in the clinical
setting, ensuring that services are provided in accordance with
department / facility policies and procedures. - Ensures efficient
use of resources. Assures efficient use of labor by reviewing
scheduling and staffing needs. - Practices standard precautions and
enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies on a
continual basis. Documents and charges for procedures accurately
and completely to ensure quality standards set by the department
and hospital. QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll
need to succeed: Associate's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or
Cardiopulmonary Science program Three years of experience as an
Advanced Critical Care Therapist Current, valid State of Florida
license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Current Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification For Cost Center 7630, 7637, and 0520:
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
For Cost Center 7633: Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification For Cost
Center 1520: Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification For Cost
Center 9390: Current ACLS and PALS certification Preferred---
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science
For Cost Center 5040, 4270: Current ACLS certification For Cost
Center 0520, 7637, 5040, 4270: Current NRP and PALS certification
For Cost Center 9390: Current NRP certification This facility is an
