difference. Position Requirements The Clinical Therapist provides
direct therapeutic services to children and families within
EverForward’s Residential and Therapeutic Foster Care programs.
This position plays a key role in facilitating treatment planning,
clinical assessments, and ongoing therapeutic interventions. The
Clinical Therapist supports the emotional and behavioral well-being
of youth with complex mental health needs by delivering
trauma-informed care, building strong therapeutic relationships,
and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and community
partners. Position Responsibilities The Clinical Therapist is
responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized
treatment plans, and delivering individual, family, and group
therapy services. The role includes regular documentation,
participation in team meetings, and coordination with external
stakeholders to ensure client-centered care. The therapist will
help youth navigate their permanency goals while providing ongoing
therapeutic support to caregivers and family systems. This role
also requires participation in on-call rotation and crisis
intervention coverage. Education : Master’s degree in Clinical
Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy,
or a closely related field. Must be licensed or license-eligible in
the state of Florida (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT). Experience Minimum
of one (1) year of clinical experience working with children and
adolescents with emotional or behavioral disorders. Preferred
experience working in foster care, residential care, or
community-based mental health settings. Experience providing
home-based interventions or working with child welfare systems is a
plus. Professional Competencies · Strong assessment, diagnostic,
and documentation skills. · Ability to engage and motivate youth
and families using trauma-informed, culturally competent, and
strength-based approaches. · Effective communication and
collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and
external partners. · Skilled in maintaining professional
boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical clinical standards. ·
Comfortable working in dynamic, high-need environments with a
flexible, solution-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities Conduct
biopsychosocial assessments and develop comprehensive,
individualized treatment plans. Provide individual, family, and
group therapy services as clinically indicated. Participate in
intake meetings, clinical staffings, and treatment team reviews.
Support permanency planning through therapeutic engagement with
biological, foster, and adoptive families. Monitor and update
treatment plans in alignment with agency, Medicaid, and licensing
requirements. Document services accurately and timely in compliance
with agency policies. Assist in tracking billing authorization and
utilization for assigned clients. Participate in rotating crisis
response duties (evenings/weekends) with compensatory time as
appropriate. Attend agency meetings, trainings, and professional
development as required. Collaborate with Program Director on
performance goals and professional growth plans. Additional Duties
Responsibilities may evolve in collaboration with the CEO/President
or other senior leadership to meet the growing needs of the agency.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Employment is contingent upon the
successful completion of a background checks, which may include
Level 2 background check, verification of employment history,
education, criminal record, and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
if the position requires driving. Additional screenings may be
conducted as relevant to the role.
