Department/Group Description:
Financial Reporting is the organization within the Controllership
that leads and facilitates the segment's financial reporting
processes, including the production of all deliverables and
supporting analysis for SEC reporting and segment management
reporting. In addition, the team has direct responsibility over the
financial statement consolidation of the individual financial
reporting processes for business areas within the parks and resorts
segment. Specifically, the Revenue Reporting Team prepares monthly,
quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements and analyzes
variances to forecast, plan, and prior year for admissions, room
rentals, merchandise, F&B, participant income and other revenue
producing lines of business. Typical responsibilities of a
Financial Reporting Analyst include completing recurring monthly
financial reporting deliverables, quarter-end tasks, and other
projects as assigned by Management.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Assist in the implementation of new revenue initiatives which can
include system configuration, product configuration, and testing
requirements
Support the ongoing maintenance of the admissions revenue
recognition systems through various tasks including but not limited
to: system testing, product configuration, & variance research
Assist with compliance with revenue recognition rules, SOX
guidelines, and various control and compliance procedures related
to revenue recognition systems, admissions product configuration,
and system testing
Design and drive innovative new initiatives to increase efficiency
and quality of financial reporting and controls through
streamlining processes and automation
Job Summary and Purpose:
The Financial Reporting Analyst is an integral part of the Revenue
Reporting team and is responsible for supporting ticketing system
implementation and ongoing maintenance. This position requires a
professional that is highly motivated and a self-starter. This
individual must be able to develop professional relationships with
various business partners, analyze and decipher accounting data to
accurately review the department's reporting obligations. They must
be able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions to
further efforts toward continuous process improvements. In
addition, they must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and be able
to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure and strict
deadlines. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting

Basic Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years accounting experience
Proactive, highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter, and a
champion of change
Moderate understanding of general Finance and Accounting processes
(including internal controls) to ensure financial integrity and
control requirements are met (including SOX compliance)
Ability to proactively identify and triage potential financial
issues and utilize effective "storytelling" to present complex
analyses in a simplified format to engage and influence the
audience persuasively, articulately, and with full command of the
topic
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a natural sense
of curiosity
Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, work independently, and
appropriately handle highly confidential information
Strong attention to detail, organization skills, interpersonal
skills, and teamwork/partnering ability including the ability to
work on cross-functional teams
Ability to be flexible with work schedule
Preferred Experience
Experience with project work including transformation efforts,
system implementations, efficiency efforts, etc.
Experience performing testing efforts to validate financial
requirements
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and handle
multiple projects simultaneously with very strict adherence to
deadlines
Moderate technical proficiency in Business Intelligence software
such as Business Objects, Business Warehouse, MicroStrategy,
Tableau, & Power BI
Basic understanding of VBA, SQL, and database design
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
85% Ticketing System Support including requirements gathering,
system testing, data management, system monitoring, product
development support, and issue research and resolution.
15% Identifies and creates process improvements and efficiencies in
everyday work streams
