JOB DESCRIPTION:WE ARE IN SEARCH OF A BUSINESS ANALYST INTERN WHO HAS EXPERIENCE IN BUSINESS PRACTICES AND PROCESSES TO JOIN OUR TEAM SUPPORTING A CONTRACT AT THE INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE (IHS), AN AGENCY WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES.Leidos is seeking a talented Business Analyst Intern who is ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. This paid internship is full-time for a minimum of 8 weeks or maximum of 12 weeks during the summer depending on interns' availability. The intern will assist in writing reports, conducting research, analyzing data, gathering requirements, and making recommendations to improve project operational effectiveness and efficiency. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in business administration. • Analyze business goals, objectives, and needs.
• Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform research and analysis in support of program operations.
• Estimate benefits of actions and/or solutions and provide recommendations.
• Prepare reports and presentations of program data findings and recommendations.
• May perform additional projects upon request.EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must currently be pursuing a degree in Business Administration from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Familiarity with business process improvement methods
    • Two years of academic or professional work experiencePAY RANGE:
      • $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only--and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
