service.The Opportunity:The Chiller Technician III position is
responsible supervising and overseeing the operation and
maintenance of the University's Central Energy Plant. Provides
technical support to supporting Team Members and ensuring all daily
assignments are completed and documented properly. Interprets
system alarms and take appropriate action. Oversees the execution
of mechanical procedures and performance test. Analyzes and
troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems.*This is a

and do not need to reapply.*Responsibilities:
- Oversee all preventive maintenance and daily operations of all
four Main Campus Central Energy Plants to ensure the CHW district
heat load is met at all times. Responsible for ensuring CHW
supporting team members monitor and respond to any system
failures.
- Ensure all maintenance daily logs are completed and daily
preventive maintenance documentation is entered timely and
accurately.
- Inspect plant equipment and report any failures or operating
difficulties; stop and start equipment as required for repairs;
operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with
established standards; troubleshoot electrical system problems and
make minor repairs and modifications.
- Direct the day-to-day shift operations of the production of
four (4) chilled water plants and thermal energy storage tank.
- Serve as the designated operator in charge for the entire main
campus district energy system that includes chilled water, thermal
energy storage, and heating hot water.
- Serve as the field clearinghouse and signature authority for
third-party service work accuracy, completion, scope, and

Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with industry-standard computer applications and
mobile smart device applications.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams and
blueprints.
- Possess high level of electrical, mechanical and plumbing
skills.
- Ability to use electrical test instruments such as a digital
multimeter, megger meter to test insulation, and to troubleshoot
motors and drives.
- Demonstrated competency with heavy power tools (Impact guns,
jackhammer, hydraulic press, bandsaw, cutting wheel, grinding
wheel).
- Demonstrated competency in rustproofing and epoxy coating
metallic surfaces.
- Knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatics.
- Experience with wiring 277v & 480v motors and VFDs.Special
