Job Description:
STS Line Maintenance is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Utility
Employees in Orlando, Florida . Hiring Note: All candidates must
currently be authorized to work in the United States. Position
Summary: This position is an entry-level position geared towards an
individual that is interested in continuing their education and
receiving their airframe and powerplant license. The maintenance
utility employee is an invaluable asset to the line maintenance
team. Although this position reports to the Shift Manager, it is
understood the MUE will take direction from a Lead Technician or
Technician. Responsibilities:
- Minimize waste by retrieving and delivering tooling and
equipment to technicians.
- Assist in maintaining portable GSE equipment. I.E. portable
stairs, tire carts, GPU s,02/N02 carts.
- Be available to assist technicians when a second set of hands
is required.
- Ensure that portable GSE equipment is stocked with correct
tooling where required.
- Assist in the relocation of aircraft by riding brakes.
- Retrieve and deliver aircraft parts when requested.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Must have received GED.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must have and hold a valid driver s license. No MVR issues in
past 3 years.
- Must be safety conscious at all times.
- Must be a self-starter with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills. Work Environment:
- Work is conducted mostly outdoors on airport ramp in any
weather condition. Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to talk/hear in English.
- Spanish fluency would be beneficial but not mandatory.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up
and down stairs; lift weight up to 50 lbs.; use hands and arms to
lift, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Expected
Hours:
- This is a full-time position. Operates in a 24/7/365 day
environment.
- Must be willing to work any assigned shift including weekends
