Job Description
The general purpose of the job is to provide for the material and services requirements for Resorts Operations, Development, and certain Corporate Departments for CFI/Westgate Resorts. The specific purpose of this job is to support stakeholders at the resort level as well as the corporate level with processing of purchase orders, follow-up on delivery status, and resolution of supplier issues.-- - These activities will be for both regular replenishment ordering of OS&E (operational supplies and equipment) as well as renovation and development projects. The goals of the buyer include optimization of assurance of supply and services, quality, service levels, and total lifecycle cost. Buyers will be assigned a specific region to support, and their stakeholders will be the resort department heads and admins who are responsible for placing requisitions for the resorts/ offices in that region. RESPONSIBILITIES Understand the market and supply base of qualified suppliers that can provide certain goods and servicesProactively engage your stakeholders to understand their business requirementsAs requirements arise, confirm a complete scope of work is documented by site engineer, as appropriateTimely and accurate processing of requisitions into purchase ordersRegular communication with stakeholders to provide support and updatesManage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, best pricing and qualityMaintain and regularly update status report for all assigned renovation / development projects The buyer shall: Create a price justificationResolve invoice issuesEnsure that our customers have received their items in accordance with the purchase order or contractReview and re-write counter-offered terms and conditions; obtain Director--------s approval prior to awarding PO if CFI Standard Terms and Conditions have been altered.Closely monitor supplier performance and document any performance issues for the Departments Supplier Rating Program.Confirm the purchase order/contract has been satisfactorily completed prior to payment of invoicesIssue cure performance, work notices; terminate agreements in accordance with Purchasing Policies and Procedures.Act as a backup for other buyersNotify management prior to placing an order for items that are not normally purchased by a propertyObtain the necessary resort/requestor approval for change orders to Purchase Orders, Basic Ordering Agreements, or Blanket agreements; document the file accordinglyDocument the purchase files in accordance with Purchasing Policies and Procedures; document all contacts and commitments made by CFI and Suppliers.Track and Report Monthly Cost SavingsKeep reports that are required by Management updatedCreate a personal development plan

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2-5 years of experience buying in hospitality facilities engineering and maintenance or related professional area with an industry-recognized purchasing certification technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing, 2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major with an industry-recognized purchasing certification; or 4 years of experience in facilities engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/PlumbingMust use sound business judgment in all decisionsStrong computer Skills; must be able to learn automated purchasing systems such as Oracle Cloud (Fusion), e-sourcing tools, and project management softwareStrong Organizational and Leadership SkillsStrong negotiation skillsAttention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills is necessaryMust be a self-motivatorMust take responsibility for providing superior Purchasing support to assigned propertiesMust be able to work under tight deadlines and stressful conditionsMust be a team playerMust be highly proficient in demand and bid analysis using Excel.Must be able to support field teams in multiple states and time zones.Must provide speedy response and supportBe highly competent in negotiation planning and execution, working well with internal teams to arrange roles for various team membersMust be able to plan and lead effective meetings -- - EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor--------s degree from four-year college or university; or 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Institute of Supply Management (ISM) Certified Professional in Supplier Manager (CPSM), Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or other industry recognized supply chain management certification PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand and walk. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
