Job Description:
National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger
charter service as well as customized military and commercial air
cargo carriage worldwide. National Airlines specializes in
over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements,
utilizing 757-200, 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its
missions.
Job Title: Manager of Maintenance Planning/Programs
Location: Orlando Florida
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
FLSA Status: Exempt
Duties, Responsibilities, and Authority
--- Participates in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) in
accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety
Management System Manual
--- Supervise and train all planning/programs personnel.
--- Perform personnel evaluations
--- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for
planning/programs department.
--- In the absence of the Manager of Maintenance Planning/Programs,
the Manager of Heavy Maintenance will ensure the responsibilities
are accomplished
--- Assist in the induction of new aircraft to National Airlines
fleet and Maintenance programs
--- Review bridging documents against Nationals Maintenance Program
to ensure they are complete and accurate.
--- Forecast and plan aircraft maintenance requirements
--- Coordinate maintenance requirements with line maintenance,
heavy maintenance, and stores to ensure completion of maintenance
tasks
--- Responsible for Planning/Programs Department processes. Must
identify any changes that will enhance departmental process
quality, and submit Maintenance Program Revision Requests for
applicable policy and procedure changes
--- Review MRB/MPD when new revisions are issued, and revise
maintenance program as required
--- Oversee the development of Maintenance programs, modifications,
and task cards in order to improve efficiency and cost control
--- Ensure Maintenance Program requirements are tracked,
monitored/forecast, scheduled, and coordinated to ensure timely
accomplishment by maintenance
--- Prepare forecasts of essential maintenance activities and heavy
maintenance visits, or other reports as required
--- Is the liaison with the Operations, Maintenance Control,
Inspection, Technical Services, and Maintenance Departments
--- Work closely with Manager of Heavy Maintenance for check
requirements

Oversee the creation of forecasts for material and logistics for
all check levels in conjunction with material planning
--- Oversee the identification and implementation of tooling
requirements and the development of programs for peculiar ground
support equipment. This will be coordinated with the Manager of
Maintenance
--- Provide data and reports as required by higher management to
monitor the performances of various maintenance and engineering
environments
--- Work closely with the Quality Control department in reading,
interpreting, and implementing Airworthiness Directives and Service
Bulletins
--- Assist in the revision to all Company manuals pertaining to
aircraft
--- Create and prepare records to assist in the implementation of
budgets
--- Initiate Short Term Escalation Requests when necessary
--- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of
Maintenance
Qualifications
--- Have at least 5 years of experience in a position responsible
for scheduling maintenance
--- Have at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
maintaining or scheduling maintenance on the same category and
class of aircraft as the Company operates
--- Must complete initial SMS Training and recurrent SMS Training.

Manual
--- Knowledge of FAA regulations of 49 CFR Parts 25, 43, 65, 91,
121
--- Keep a valid passport
--- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
