location.Description:With the organization undergoing a digital
transformation (DX) and moving towards the realization of Digital
Twins, and with Prod Ops and Manufacturing engaged in delivering an
interconnected, optimized virtual manufacturing environment, we are
looking for people with the drive and the skills to help us turn
this goal into a reality in the shortest time possible.In this
role, you will:- support data-intensive manufacturing simulation
and process improvement initiatives by performing data extraction,
preparation, and analysis. - carry out audits of data sources.
Perform data wrangling as needed to develop datasets of a quality
suitable for use in models and for advanced analytics. Develop
reusable scripts to automate data extraction from data sources (ex.
SAP, Apriso) and populate models with validated information. - help
develop standards for data quality in modeling. - drive progress on
the data front with an overarching goal of achieving real-time
connectivity between data producers and data consumers.- have a
strong interest in data science and machine learning (ML). Be
willing to explore new opportunities for ML applications in a
manufacturing and production operations environment focused on
digital transformation and with a growing commitment to predictive
asset maintenance.- support your team as needed, and work
collaboratively with technical specialists and subject matter
experts (SMEs) as well as internal customers, engaging them
independently whenever necessary. - exhibit solid time management
skills in an uncertain, fast-changing environment.- be willing to
travel as needed to support staff at sites and understand data
issues at the source. - provide management with evidence-based
recommendations to support decision making for investment in new
processes and in automation and data analysis tools, with the
overarching goals of maximizing production efficiency, reducing
costs, and becoming truly data driven.Basic Qualifications:- B.S.
in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. - Manufacturing
industry experience with exposure to process and factory modeling
and simulation from formulation of requirements and data collection
to model validation and deployment. - Solid understanding of data
quality and data issues as they relate to model validation. -
Experienced in data extraction, data wrangling, and script
development and automation. Proficient in SQL, and in R and/or
Python.- Experienced and interested in pattern recognition in data,
classification, and prediction via machine learning in a
manufacturing environment focused on reducing maintenance costs. -
Project experience with Lean methods, Six Sigma, and other process
improvement approaches. Able to define and articulate the current
and target states (A3 thinking) and perform root cause analyses
(RCAs) from symptoms and FMEAs.- Familiar with statistical
tools/concepts and able to perform model sensitivity analysis under
uncertainty.- Ability to assess problems and situations from a
broad conceptual perspective and back suggestions up with data and
mathematical analysis.- Experience with MS Office suite, including
Excel and Visio.Note: The selected candidate will be required to
obtain an interim Secret security clearance prior to
starting.Desired Skills:- 5 or more years of related experience
with a bachelor's degree OR 3 or more years with a master's
degree.- MSc preferred.- Solid understanding of manufacturing
environments and supply chain.- Familiar with CATIA or CREO CAD.
Knowledge of SAP and Dassault Apriso. - Familiar with one or more
of Visual Components, Process Simulator/ProModel, Simio, or similar
(simulation.) - Minitab and/or Excel/QI Macros a plus.- Solid
communication skills. Able to present findings and recommendations
clearly and concisely to a diverse audience. - Strong team
working/interpersonal skills.BASIC
