Job Title -QualifyingSummary: The User Experience (UX) &
Communications Specialist is an advocate for product users;
distilling experiences, flows, and directions into simple, savvy
communications across multiple delivery channels and platforms.
They will work with users - including owning our product user group
- to understand how they think and speak in order to identify needs
and translate them into language that is both useful and natural.
The UX & Communications Specialist will collaborate with analysts,
designers, product managers, researchers, and developers to craft
solutions that are strategically sound within the voice of the
university and product. They will become the expert of your domain;
proactively setting writing and user group standards, best content
practices, and iterating processes and procedures. They understand
that subtle copy shifts are a significant part of the user
experience; and will work closely with the team to ensure the
written word and visuals achieve consistent harmony. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Craft clear, concise in-product copy across a suite of
experiences on both desktop and mobile
- Lead UX strategy, driving mindful discussions with product
managers, UX designers, analysts, developers, and stakeholders
- Lead brand and product leadership to develop and integrate
writing standards, product voice, and best practices across a suite
of digital products.
- Lead and drive the adoption of UX writing tools and frameworks
including content and user research, metrics, and
communications
- Lead designers and analysts to integrate copy in design comps,
specifications and other formal documentation, articles, and
guides
- Own and evolve our Product User Group initiative; including
stewarding our community space, conducting focus groups, and
providing documentation and analysis
- Lead the Fuselage Design System's components and usage
guidelines.
- Provide content solutions that scale for a global audience with
various segmentations and personalized user experiences
- Lead product, development, and support teams to create,
schedule and deploy internal and public roadmaps, release notes,
and pre-release communications for stakeholders and
end-usersCompetencies:
- 3-4 years professional experience in a UX writing, copywriting,
content strategy or communications role (agency or in-house)
- Must be proficient in various writing styles with exceptional
grammar and copywriting skills
- Professional experience using social media platforms; including
community management, content creation, and scheduling
- Working knowledge of design process and general UX/UI design
principles
- Proven ability to present to all levels within an organization;
both verbally and in writing
- Working across simultaneous assignments and operating
autonomously in a sometimes ambiguous, start-up environment
- Comfortable in an Agile environment using Atlassian products
(Jira, Confluence)
- Have an intermediate understanding of web and native app
productsEducation and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree is preferredComputer/Equipment Skills: Must
be familiar with the following applications and operating
systems:
