Description:GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Show Lighting Designer /
integrator plans, develops, and provides technical support
(self/team/vendor provided) needed for the successful Lighting
Design and execution of a show or attraction. This includes design,
development, design/fabrication/installation management, and
implementation of show lighting and electrical systems for stage,
attraction, production, and architectural lighting. Extent of
technical involvement will be dependent on the individual's
education and experience. RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the design
implementation and lighting installation effort - Interfaces and
coordinates with other show related disciplines - Lead all Show
Lighting Controls system efforts for the project including system
design, field verification, test and adjust and programming -
Support development of and communicate Show Lighting design
concepts - Develop and input to Show Lighting database, schedules,
dimmer panels, and Show Lighting drawings - Research fixture
information and lighting technologies to support design effort -
Work with supervisor to follow budget and schedule - Support
mock-ups and presentations including set-ups and strikes - Support
the programming of show related lighting control and light levels -
Document the implemented design - Perform test and adjust - Perform
primary work with electrical engineering disciplines to insure
placement of lighting design on electrical drawings - Obtain
knowledge of new and developing lighting technologies - Create Show

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS - Education: BFA/ or MFA in a
Technical Design-related field, or Engineering, Architecture and
Design, Construction Management degree - required - Experience:o
Minimum 1-year in related professional environment o Minimum 1-year
design experience with lighting control and networkingo Experience
in the technical aspects of Theater Arts and its associated skillso
Can read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical drawings
o Proficiency with CAD drafting programs both 2D and 3Do Experience
with word processing and spread sheet format programs (Microsoft
Word & Excel or equivalent) Familiar with the use of standard
theatrical documentation (focus charts, fixture schedules,
dimmer/control schedules)o Have working understanding of the
theatrical applications of light (focus, color, texture, highlight
and shadow, key and fill)o Have a basic to advanced understanding
of the electrical configuration of theatrical dimming systems and
its control and LED/RGB infrastructureo Working knowledge of
theatrical design and technical knowledge of specific discipline,
including methods of constructiono Working knowledge of
architectural and facility requirements and integration of specific
discipline products into an attractiono Advanced knowledge of
moving lights, theatrical controls and control distribution
including DMX and Etherneto Current knowledge of new and developing
