Primary Responsibilities: Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, the UR Social Worker utilizes clinical knowledge and expertise to interpret medical criteria, medical policy and benefit information. Provide accurate and timely Utilization Management functions while continuously looking for ways to improve our processes. Timely and accurate determination and notification of authorization, and appeals requests. Reviews pre-service, concurrent, and retro authorizations cases according to established medical guidelines You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in Required Qualifications: Master's Degree (or higher) in Social Work 3 years of behavioral health experience Licensed within the state of Missouri Ability to work any shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST Preferred Qualifications: LCSW (Licensed Social Worker) Telecommuting Requirements: Reside within the state of Missouri Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service Careers with OptumInsight .
