Our Systems Solutions Group (SSG) provides services including tool
flow and methodologies, design creation and verification, and
design implementation. Our customers range from start-ups to
industry leaders, developing products for telecommunications,
wireless, aerospace and defense, automotive, artificial
intelligence computing, and high-performance computing markets. Our
services projects range from collaborating with customers to
provide specific design skills and assistance for an SoC project
all the way through end-to-end SoC turnkey design from
specification to parts.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team.
Does this sound like a good role for you? In this role you will be
responsible for services business development activities from
opportunity identification through order closure and project
execution. Should have a high-level technical understanding and
strategic perspective of Synopsys tool, IP and services offerings
and be able to discuss offerings with our customers. Will work
closely with sales, marketing, customers and services engineering
to identify a services solution for each customer that brings value
to the customer and meets margin goals. Will lead and drive
opportunity qualification, solution development, scoping, planning,
pricing, proposal, and Statement of Work (SOW). Will lead bid teams
across business units for our most comprehensive opportunities.
Will participate in account planning to strengthen pipeline of
- Owns and drives the services pre-sales bid for specific
opportunities working collaboratively with customers, sales,
services and cross-Synopsys teams.
- Ensures proper scoping, proposal/SOW development and winning
- Establishes customer expectations that enable successful
- Has demonstrated understanding of SOC Design, grasps technical
details and is able to discuss these details with customer and
- Has innovative mindset that can formulate new solutions or
direction and is able to motivate others to support new solutions
- Represents the organization as the principle contact on
- Strong demonstrated written, oral and presentation skills in
engineering, managerial and executive level presentations and
communications, including internal and external customers.
- Ability to network with engineers and leaders across Synopsys
teams to lead solution development.
- Experience developing technical proposals and SOWs is
- Experience in SOC Design Engineering is preferred.
- As a part-time function, must be able to provide Project
Management support for small projects including interacting
directly with the customer and Synopsys execution team to ensure
status reporting, issue resolution and positive customer
- Able to help build marketing collateral suitable for pre-sales
- Will be able to travel on occasion for short periods of time,
and occasionally work on-site at customer premises as required (as
global situations permit).
- Typically requires a minimum of 12+ years of related
experience. At this level, post-graduate coursework or knowledge
base equivalent is desirable.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between
$130,000 to $227,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an
annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys

compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related
factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
