provides technical construction, maintenance, equipment and
computer applications training to Transmission & Distribution
(T&D employees), Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S),
Construction & Maintenance (C&M) Supervisors, C&M
Specialists, Technical Skills Specialist (TSS's), C&M
Management, Engineering/Design, Fleet Techs, Metering Techs, Grid
Modernization, Distribution Operations, Gas Ops and contractors.
They are the project leader for the craft new hire process, and
Standardized Distribution Line Curriculum (SDLC) progression
adherence. They conduct benchmarking with industry groups/peer
utilities, negotiate training priorities and secure resources for
critical training tasks, as well as participate as the advanced
expert for Level 1 Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Investigations and
significant events. They evaluate the overall training program
effectiveness, and conduct field assessments to validate adherence
to training standards. This position provides evaluations/testing
of skills and knowledge required to progress through various
apprenticeship programs and is a subject matter expert (SME)/leader
for critical RCA's/safety investigations throughout Customer
Delivery Operations.This position is responsible for the
administration and completion of compliance training for employees
within DOS organizations, including: line techs, supervisors,
resource planners, engineers, transmission employees, metering, gas
ops, distribution operations and fleet. This position provides
skill assessments of craft performers, and problem resolution for
various craft processes. This position also assists local
management in areas such as job site safety/training audits, and
assisting in all necessary follow-up to audit findings. They
provide technical support, evaluation and feedback to craft
performers, contractors, C&M leadership, distribution
standards, distribution tools and work methods, and EH&S. They
must have the ability to lead, plan, determine priorities, problem
solve and provide solutions and prescribe the processes needed to
achieve objectives within the framework of the organization's
operating policies.Responsibilities Ensure adherence of compliance
and skills training and assists in the implementation of safety
processes. Develop, deliver and administer overall training
programsEstablish training standards and consistency across
business groups and zonesAdminister Training Delivery
Prioritization Model - gain consensus of business group's
prioritiesNegotiate training priorities and secures resource
commitment for critical training tasksPerform program evaluations
to validate overall training effectivenessDevelop and deliver
continued educational training for technical employees as it
relates to industry trendsDemonstrate expertise in a wide range of
training products and services which support the business unit,
departmental and team goals. Serves as an internal expert in a
discipline specific/task based area.Provide advanced expertise and
innovation in the research, design, analysis, and administration of
assigned function(s) to support the achievement of business
objectives of assigned customer area(s).Assure adherence to
compliance training calendar and performs subject matter
training.Support the execution of Safety/Health Program, i.e. fall
protection, pole top certification, switching and tagging
electrical/gas, metering operations, rubber gloves, poles, operator
qualifications, regulatory compliance, lead and poly cable
splicing/termination, FR clothing, live line tools, ladders,
trenching/shoring cranes/hoists, CDL's, DOT inspections, dielectric
equipment testing, fire extinguishers, confined spaces, work zone,
recordkeeping, hazardous communications, asbestos, lead,
respirators, personal protective equipment, and blood borne
pathogens.Performs on site safety inspections on a periodic basis
across zone to assess compliance; supports safety and facility
audits.Assist in the implementation of safety processes through
training, safety and environmental improvement plans.Analyzes
products and services for assigned customer area to ensure it meets
long-term customer plans and regulatory requirements; e.g., gas
regulatory compliance/OQ (Operator Qualification)Active role in
jurisdictional/zone safety councils and committeesDesigns and
administers training products and services for assigned projects to
enable achievement of Company and business unit goals and support
compliance with customer training needs.Communicate with and
coach/train performers on technical issues to assure proper
application of standards, policies, and procedures. Performs field
observations to validate training effectiveness and integrate
observations into improved curriculum.Performs assessments to
validate procedural adherence to the training
standards.Authorize/certify performers meet required qualifications
and remain qualified to conduct highly skilled work tasks.Instills
safety values and beliefs as new employees are on-boarded, and
behavioral validation during subsequent training activitiesDevelop
and deliver training related to Insulate & Isolate to field
employees.Develop and deliver training related to electrical
underground, complex network systems, mapping and diagrams. This
also includes hands -on training for underground equipment for
troubleshootingDeliver classroom, hands-on and one-on-one training
for technical issues.Facilitates coaching and feedback to technical
employees throughout training sessions to ensure training
requirements/standards are metProvide reports/feedback/evaluations
to field management based upon training observations of skills by
employee/studentResponsible for SME support to technical employees
regarding new polices/proceduresConsulted for input when promoting
performers through the training progressionLead in facilitation of
testing/evaluation performed to determine promotion through the
training progressionDiagnose, analyze and resolve on-site issues

academic, and training professionals; research appropriate journals

programs by investigating, reviewing and communicating events,
leading and participating in RCAs and implementation of corrective
actions.Serve as SME/lead in response to RCA resolutions by
collaborating with EHS expertsProvide leadership to key utility
organizations throughout the country. Some to include SEE, IUOTA,
International Lineman's Rodeo Committee, Kentucky Gas Association,
ENSC (Cable Splicers) and Incident Prevention (IP).Deliver training
