*Customer Service Representative/Expeditor*

Reports To: Customer Service Manager

Department: Customer Service

Shift: 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

*JOB SUMMARY: *

Interact with company customers (internally\\externally) and provide them with information to address all inquiries regarding products and services. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor and be a role model for courteous and professional communication. Develop knowledge about the organizations products to become well-versed in the technical language of our industry. Promote the DMC Mission of remaining the major supplier of high reliability tools and maintenance kits for electronic wiring systems.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

* Create reports using Excel
* Responsible for identifying order and delivery delays
* Coordinate with other departments to minimize bottlenecks and assure on time delivery
* Conceptual knowledge of inventory and shipping practices
* Interact directly\\indirectly with customers via telephone, fax, electronic-media and in person. All duties are performed on-site due to hands-on inter-departmental required interaction.
* An excellent sense of time managment
* Respond promptly and correctly to customer inquiries regarding product and services.
* Accept and process customer purchase orders and requests for quotes in accordance with manufacturing lead times.
* Evaluate and resolve customer concerns.
* Retain and apply technical information.
* Display exceptional listening\\verbal skills coupled with departmental accepted phone etiquette expectations.
* Record details of daily customer inquiries and action taken when needed.
* Follow-up on customer expectations.
* Exert good judgment and problem solving.
* Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
* Communicate and coordinate with internal departments in a friendly and positive demeanor.
* Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.

*QUALIFICATIONS: *

* Minimum 3 years' experience with academic and professional training in established practices and principles of customer service desired but not required.
* Proven time management and analytical problem resolution.
* Strong organizational and administrative skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Word/Excel, Web Searching and PC applications.
* Team player who works effectively with others as well as independently consistently displaying professionalism.
* Previous experience in a technical manufacturing\\parts distribution environment desired but not required.

*PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *

* Requires long periods of sitting, working on a computer and speaking on the phone.
* Necessary mobility to interact with production personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
