The Safety Ambassador inspires and encourages individuals to bring safety knowledge home and instill sound habits in the workplace.   • Share all knowledge of procedures and potential hazards with team members/coworkers
  • Ambassadors effectively communicate and lead through action the importance of safe work for the entire team
  • Serve as an enthusiast of all safety efforts, encouraging and motivating employees to think of their safety and the safety of others in the workplace
  • Create incentive-based campaigns to increase safety participation and awareness following Safety guidelines
  • Monitor and engage with team members to ensure conformity to safe practices during shift assignments
  • Partner with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns in a positive manner
  • Assists departments with coordinating safety training, developing safety topic discussion and developing safety training material
  • Work with Risk Management, General Manager and Security Department to create ongoing marketing campaigns via in-app messaging, email, and social media, etc. related to safety
  • Track, report, and analyze key safety issues that will inform response strategies
  • Monitor team member safety and properly address safety concerns
  • Able to conduct presentation and engage the team members creatively
  • Participate in safety committee meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
  • Participates in team meetings and provided regular on-site project presence. -Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Supervises success of the Safety Program for the property. -

      • Well-educated on the hazards of the workplace, prompt to remind employees of safe working habits.
      • Has a clear understanding of how to communicate necessary corrections Willing to adjust as needed for the safety and wellbeing of others.
      • Does not allow repetition of mundane tasks to jeopardize the protection of the team. Always follows proper procedures, encouraging others to do the same.
      • Constantly aware of the task at hand. Fully engaged and focused on completing their work safely and efficiently is always the top priority.
      • Presentation skillsEducation and/or ExperienceKnowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in OSHA, Hazards in the workplace, safety. Skilled in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments: or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. -High school Diploma or GED required. BA/BS in a management/ or related fields preferred.Physical DemandsThe -physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 35 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, for up to eight (8) hours. Must be capable of hearing within what is considered to be a normal range. In addition, the employee is occasionally required to smell.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and -hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include capable of distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and perception, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
