Position SummaryThe Imaging Services Supervisor monitors the daily operations of patient and staff workflow efficiently and accurately to ensure high quality patient care, and to directly supervise Imaging personnel.You will be leading a newly formed team providing a wide range of screening, diagnostic , dexa and interventional procedures with compassion and integrity to ensure the highest quality, access, service and value to our patients, referring providers and partners. You'll play an important part of that process by using your knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and the operation and maintenance of mammography equipment.Essential Functions--- Directs the work of the technologists and support staff to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures.--- Monitors the daily operation of patient and staff workflow efficiently and accurately to ensure high quality care.--- Plans and prioritizes area work assignments.--- Assures the diagnostic images meet the highest QA standards.--- Applies principles of radiation protection and safety to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.--- Performs staff orientation.--- Sets expectations and holds team members accountable to all Orlando Health policies and protocols.--- Serves as a resource for students and faculty members for affiliated imaging programs.--- Performs PI initiatives, and process flow changes as directed.--- Administers medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.--- Establishes and productively assesses and corrects staffing patterns that support excellent customer service.--- Utilizes all Corporate imaging computer systems effectively and accurately.--- Facilitates monthly staff and lead meetings.--- Provides team members with in-services, training and education.--- Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.--- Ensures safety of all customers.--- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.--- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.Create a positive experience for every customerPerforms mammography examination according to a high quality standardMaintain and adjusts equipmentEnsures compliance with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and trackingManage overall staffing levelsEstablishes schedules to provide for coverageAssists in recruiting interview and hiring processManages the training of new technologist, providing resource and technical expertiseInitiate and participates in staff performance evalsMaintain an updated protocol manual and software upgradesMonitors medical supply and inventoryAssists management to support unit goals and plansOther Related Functions--- Evaluates time entry for accuracy/completeness.--- Monitors all Radiology systems for appropriate use, accuracy and completion of tasks.--- Maintains inventory for section.--- Monitors compliance for license, registry, and mandatory education of technologists. --- Communicates and interacts closely with the scheduling department, Physicians, and Radiologists to ensure optimum patient/staff flow and resolves patient care issues.--- Assists with patient care as necessary to ensure quality customer satisfaction.--- Compiles, monitors, and analyzes data for critical success factors, Joint Commission, and budget variance reports.--- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. --- Interacts and works with other department supervisors and staff to continually improve patient care issues (i.e. tasks forces, focus studies, PI teams, steering committees).--- Provides patient transport. --- May be required to work at other facilities.Education/TrainingAssociate's degree required.Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyLicensure/CertificationMust meet one of the following:1. Maintains current Florida State Certified Radiologic Technologist License AND Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND BLS/Health Care Provider certification; or2. Maintains current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) AND BLS/Health Care Provider certification3. Must posses a Mammography registry (M)ExperienceOne (1) year of experience in Mammography or Radiology Specialty, as applicable for area. (E.g. Mammography, MRI, Sonography, CT, etc.)
