JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Call Center Representative Reports to: Lead PSR Status: Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Full Time: Monday through Friday times may vary Position Summary: The Call Center Specialist works under general supervision to answer incoming phone calls and provide first call resolution for patient registration, scheduling, inquiries and other customer service of all callers. Responsibilities & Expectations: Answers calls or returns voice mails and responds to emails and / or faxes. Provides excellent customer service and a positive experience for every caller. Collects important data and feedback to help improve patient satisfaction. Accurately provides information such as services, locations, insurance, facilities and other. Registers new patients and / or updates demographic or patient information. Participates in calling patients for scheduling and rescheduling appointments. Escalates priority issues and transfers calls outside of scope of operations. Completes call logs, documents customer or call information. Manage and resolve customer complaints. Assists in Operations processing of medical records. During low call volume or outages, CSR will assist personnel with tasks. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 1 year of customer service experience. Medical or dental front desk experience and call center experience is preferred. Experience with the operation of a medical or dental clinic and electronic health record or scheduling software is plus. Ability to manage difficult patient or end user situations in a calm and professional manner Able to communicate effectively with a multi-cultural population Able to work independently and multi-task Ability to operate as a part of a team Able to sit for long periods of time Bilingual (Required) Work Ethic: Professional approach to managing patient conflicts Versatile and accommodating to ensure the efficiency of the health center Capable of multi-tasking and establishing priority levels Excellent customer service support Committed to the Mission of the Organization
