for managing learning support services at a campus level. Learning
Support Services include but are not limited to services that are
supplemental to classroom-based learning such as peer tutoring,
professional tutoring, communications labs, testing center, and
math labs. Collaborates with academic divisions to ensure student
needs are met by providing quality academic support services using

Function:*1. Manages all functions of Learning Support
Services.*Description of Job Function:*2. Supervises assigned
full-time and part-time staff.*Description of Job Function:*3.
Provides training opportunities for all assigned staff.*Description
of Job Function:*4. Provides leadership in how to use instructional
technology to aid student learning.*Description of Job Function:*5.
Ensures all areas of responsibility are properly staffed at a level
that provides quality customer service and exceptional learning
opportunities.*Description of Job Function:*6. Oversees and manages
budgets related to the learning support services of the campus.
Completes timesheets and other human resources paperwork as
appropriate.*Description of Job Function:*7. Works with faculty to
integrate services with course curricula.*Description of Job

Maximizes student learning opportunities, both in the scope of
services offered and in the amount of time those services are

creating the best possible learning environment for learning

assigned.*Required Minimum Education:*Bachelor's Degree from a
regionally accredited institution.*Preferred Education & Field of
Study:*Master s degree from a regionally accredited
institution.*Preferred Type of Experience:*Teaching experience at
the college level.Supervisory experience in an educational
setting.*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*Excellent Communication
Skills. Deep knowledge of instructional technology and learning
theory. Ability to work with diverse constituencies to provide a
unified and coherent set of services. Ability to supervise and
coordinate. Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and
meet the needs of diverse student populations.*General Working
Conditions:*This job primarily operates in a professional office
environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office
equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse,
phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax
machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level
in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.Typical
physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently
remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and
occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing
between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently
communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and
perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to
adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to
frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning,
maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and
decision-making.The typical work environment, physical and
