Job Description:


The Digital Media and Search Engine Marketing Specialist supports the online marketing efforts for Yield Management and Digital Marketing. The Specialist manages partnerships for the execution of Paid Search Marketing, Meta Search Hotel Ads, Display Advertising, and Affiliate Marketing Programs.


  • Drives new, incremental, and ancillary web direct hotel guest revenues from DiamondHotelandResorts.com, hotel microsites, and/or other landing pages.
  • Manages third party vendor relationships to execute specific web direct marketing programs and chairs monthly performance review with each vendor.
  • Provides technical support in the form of hypertext markup language (HTML) coding, pixel implementation, and dashboard reporting setup.
  • Assists Director of E-Commerce in management of large Search Engine Marking (SEM), Pay-Per-Click (PPC), and/or Cost-Per-Acquisition (CPA) budgets.
  • Works closely with the Creative Services department, IT, and digital agencies on creation and maintenance of existing and upcoming landing pages, banner placements, and paid social media placements.
  • Liaises between third party vendors, Creative Services, and IT for web marketing campaign setup, a/b testing execution, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Liaises with IT department (as required) to input tickets for development needs on DiamondResortsandHotels.com or hotel microsites.
  • Collaborates with E-commerce Content Coordinators and makes Search Engine Optimization (SEO) recommendations for URL naming structures, keyword content, meta or H1 tags, and additional back-end mechanics for microsites.
  • Works with IT, digital agencies, E-Commerce Manager, and Director of E-Commerce to sustain critical infrastructure for campaign execution. Responsible for pixel placement and setup for programs including, but not limited to: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Omniture, Google AdWords, Google AdRoll, Abandon Cart Program, Google Display Network, Hotel Meta Search, iHotelier Booking Engine, Clarity Booking Engines.
  • Participates in monthly E-Commerce and Pipeline calls, presents data, highlights and action items assigned to third party vendors.
  • Integrates data from various back-end services and databases, using Google Data Studio or other reporting tools (such as Google Big Query or Looker).
  • Provides metrics, best practices, and updates regarding e-commerce trends and status reports to E-Commerce Manager prior to monthly E-Commerce meetings and Pipeline calls.
  • Aids Director of E-Commerce in data collection and publishing of weekly Metric Monday, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation for all key business practices supporting day-to-day execution of the role so other team members can be cross-trained to provide supplemental support the function during seasonal peaks or in the event of absences due to illness or vacation.
  • Advises Director of E-Commerce and E-Commerce Manger regarding open, pending, and upcoming IT tickets in prioritized queue and participates in internal calls with the IT team.
  • Manages partnerships for the execution of Paid Search Marketing, Meta Search Hotel Ads, Display Advertising, and Affiliate Marketing Programs.
  • Oversees third party relationships with Google My Business, Bing Business Listings, TripAdvisor, and TrustYou and other third-party vendors.
  • Provides SEO support, on-page (e.g., Meta tags, URL structure), and off-page (e.g., link building), that drive improvements in organic traffic and rankings.
  • Aids in the continuing growth of web direct marketing and development of Diamond's hotel guest loyalty program.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.


  • A minimum three (3) years of experience in the e-commerce field required.
  • No supervisory experience required.


  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.


  • Google Ads Certification.


This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strong content management system skills (WordPress, Drupal, TravelClick Galaxy).
  • In-depth web design knowledge (HTML, PHP, JavaScript).
  • Advanced proficiency in web analytics (Google Analytics, Omniture).
  • Adequate knowledge of collaboration tools (Zoom, Skype, Slack).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hotel booking engine platforms (iHotelier, Clairty, or similar).
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
  • Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
  • Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation.
  • Ability to interpret and create spreadsheets.
  • Able to use sound judgment; work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes.
  • Competent in public speaking.
  • Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Intermediate math skills.
