As a Validation & Permitting Specialist you will be driving coordination of tasks for creating and compiling required documents and information for certification in cooperation with local partners and SGRE partners in European design offices and manufacturing platforms. You will support expert teams of different technical domains in negotiating certification requirements and solutions as well as in defending the documented substantiation for validation with certifiers, suppliers and authorities. You will establish a market wide acceptance of SGRE standards and principles for project certification and product validation, transfer and adjust regional project requirements to reasonably match with SGRE product standards. You will be responsible for definition and verification of applicable local codes and standards for assigned projects in US regions.

How to contribute to our vision

• You will negotiate and agree certification and validation scope and time plan as well as format and content with stakeholders.
• You will maintain continuous contact to relevant authorities and stakeholders for monitoring trends and developments on future requirements to Offshore wind projects.
• You will agree and maintain design bases and frequently update certification requirements and documentation to remain in line with agreed design bases
• You will be the cross-functional lead of project specific validation of loads and other windfarm specific parameter according to requirements specified in certification plans and corresponding design bases (in cooperation with assigned load experts)
• You will contribute to continuous improvement on standards, practice and principles.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for

• You have minimum 7 years of project experience in Wind industry.
• You have a university degree in the area of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• You have experience with certification standards and schemes and also experience with project management, preferably in wind or civil engineering industry.
• You have experience in leading interdisciplinary teams and cross-functional task.
• You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing, mandatory for an effective in international and intercultural communication. Knowledge of another language (German, Dutch, Danish) would be an advantage.
• You have a quick grasp and good understanding of complex technical coherence and content.
• You have a self-driven character prepared for self-dependent evolution of consistent and complete solutions and you have a self-confident appearance and autonomously acting on tasks.
• You are familiar with presentation and proposition of decisions to management, customers and authorities.
• You have the flexibility to travel within USA and/or to relocate to Orlando/FL, USA.
