Description:The selected individual with work as part of a
multi-contractor team providing direct support to our Naval Surface
Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division Combat Direction Systems
Activity (CDSA) Dam Neck customer performing software and system
engineering for shipboard and shore training systems. The work
location for this position is at our LM Facility in Orlando, FL.
This position will support multiple programs including the US Navy
Advanced Training Domain (ATD), Joint After Action Review Resource
Library (JAAR-RL) or other projects as assigned in the development
of web interfaces and backend services that will be the interface
for multiple collection services and/or remote displays. The
support includes, but is not limited to, architectures,
communications, software, hardware, and documentation across the
training systems products' life cycle. Specific activities to be
performed consist of a wide range of system software development
tasks including: system/software analysis, implementation, test,
integration, fielding/customer support, problem resolution,
configuration management of software products, support to technical
design and review meetings, and support to various levels of
customer acceptance test or operational activities. This position
may require occasional short term business travel. Basic
Qualifications: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
both written and oral.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-contractor, collaborative
environment with frequently changing priorities, often directly in
and with customers and multi-service users.
* Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and
Multimedia Content Development and API's
* Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web
Services (such as REST, SOAP, etc---).
* Experience with interpreting and understanding software
architectures, requirements, and design.
* Experience with Object-Oriented programming languages such as
* Experience with SQL databases. Desired Skills: * DOD 8570 IAT II
Certifications: o Security+ Certification o Ability to obtain a
Linux+ or equivalent operating system certification to meet
contract requirements * Modeling and simulation knowledge using
standards such as High Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed
Interactive Simulation (DIS), Link 16, Global Command & Control
System (GCCS) and/or Internet Relay Chat (IRC).
* Experience in defining solutions to engineering and software
design problems using UML modeling tools.
* Experience in database, SQL, Postgres, Activemq or any other
message brokers experience.
* Experience in Linux OS such as Red Hat.
* Experience programming HTML5, CSS3, Web Programming Skills,
Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web
Interface Design (UI), and/or Security Principles
* Experience in agile development processes.
* Experience and/or certifications related to Information Assurance
(IA) standards, procedures, and policies.
* Experience with or in any service or joint operational training,
either in operations or with fielded support components (such as
NCTE, fleet FSTs, Air Force AWSIM or with DMOC, WARSIM, Army or
