a Principal Embedded Software Engineers or Sr. Principal Embedded
Software Engineers. The selected candidate for this position will
report to the Northrop Grumman Precision Targeting and Protection
facility in Apopka, FL.What you'll get to do:This new team member
will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between
interpersonal and technical capabilities. He/she must be a
self-starter, able to efficiently operate in a team environment and
collaborate across the sector business areas as required to
accomplish the team goals.Roles & Responsibilities:Interface with
systems engineering to develop flow down software requirements and
technical specificationsDevelop, document and maintain software
both individually and as part of a larger teamIdentify risks,
suggest mitigation, track defects, develop resolutions, and track
and report statusConduct reviews of software related products,
software designs, and technical documentsExercise agile principles
while developing software and overall system using continuous
integration workflowEnsure software code quality by exercising
different types of tests, documenting the results, and exercising
automated testing wherever possible.Support team in integrating
various sensors into a larger platformAssist in the creation of
hardware integration and test setupsSolve complex problems through
innovative and creative solutionsSupport/lead project execution
over the whole product lifecycle, with foremost emphasis on meeting
or exceeding customer and stakeholder requirements.Facilitate and
maintain good working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders"This position may be filled as a Principal Embedded
Software Engineer or a Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineer
based on the qualifications listed below."Basic Qualifications for
a Principal Embedded Software Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or
related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of embedded software
engineering experienceProficiency in one or more of the following
programming languages: C, C++ and/or JavaExperience with full
software lifecycle such as: specifications, design, implementation,
integration, debug and maintenance.Experience with DevOps tools
such as Git, Jira, and/or Jenkins/BambooU.S. Citizenship with the
ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret
Security clearanceBasic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Embedded
Software Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM degree
and a minimum of 9 years of embedded software engineering
experienceProficiency in one or more of the following programming
languages: C, C++ and/or JavaExperience with full software
lifecycle such as: specifications, design, implementation,
integration, debug and maintenance.Experience with DevOps tools
such as Git, Jira, and/or Jenkins/BambooU.S. Citizenship with the
ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret
Security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in real-time
embedded software development knowledge of Optical, Radar,
Electronic Warfare, or Space TechnologiesExperience with wide range
of communication interfaces and protocols such as USB2.0, Ethernet,
TCP/IP, EIA/RS-232, I2c, SPI, and MIL-STD-1553BExperience
developing Android applications for embedded systems (Android SDK,
Android Studio)Experience with Linux Operating SystemsActive Secret
Security clearance.Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USDSalary
Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
