Position Summary
The HL7-Integration Solutions Developer creates, tests, enhances, and monitors HL7, EDI, Medical Device, and other integrations for the Orlando Health Enterprise utilizing Epic Bridges and the Intersystems Iris platforms.
Responsibilities
Required Experience--- Must possess at minimum 3 years data integration coding experience using an enterprise integration engine (Cloverleaf, Ensemble, Mirth, etc.) in a build role
--- Experience with Epic Bridges or Intersystems Iris (FKA Ensemble) is highly desired
--- Experience CDR, CDA, APIs, and web services preferred
Required Skills
--- Proficiency with HL7 and integration concepts
--- Proficiency and demonstrated experience with testing methods
--- An understanding of clinical process flows and be able to effectively determine and document business requirements and technical design
--- Epic Bridges Certification is desired
--- Values data quality, data governance, and has strong data validation sensibilities
--- Strong analytical and communication skills, problem solving ability, works well in a team environment, and attention to detail
Job Responsibilities
--- Full project life cycle development of HL7, EDI or other data type interfaces using Integration Engine and other tools
--- Guides Epic application teams and business stakeholders on large scope projects, gathering requirements, developing test plans, and ensuring accuracy of data integrations
--- Responsible for analysis, support and maintenance, of existing or planned Hl7 or non-HL7, EDI or any data interfaces and other integration solutions with a focus on efficiency, and standards
--- Provides support when issues arise to maintain the integrity of the enterprise data
--- Provides project support as an active team member within the Information Services teams and works to promote a positive team environment
--- Must be competent to work under minimal supervision in all phases of interface analysis and development
--- Reviews upgrade documentation related to integration features and business requirements content
--- Escalates issues to the Integration Manager when hard-stops and/or technical barriers are encountered preventing the solution from completing successfully or in a timely manner
--- Provides guidance and assistance for other team members to ensure efficient and effective responses to business intelligence needs
--- Adheres to IT standards for methodologies, quality assurance and security
Qualifications
Education/Training
--- Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study. Associate's degree and two (2) years of directly related
work experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). High
School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor's degree
(in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
Licensure/Certification
Industry Certification in relevant field required.
