-POSITION SUMMARYThe Project Manager leads projects focused on
continuous improvement of strategic initiatives for the company. -
This role oversees all parts of the assigned projects from
initiation through completion to ensure a high level of quality and
service is delivered on time. - The Project Manager manages
communications with internal resources and 3rd party vendors.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain deep understanding of the Managed Services
Operations and technology. - Learn lean methodology and leverage
this approach for analysis and problem solving
- Identify and implement changes and identify new opportunities
to continuously drive efficiencies, reduce noise.
- Report the progress of various projects on improvement
journeys, providing recommendations on strategic opportunities and
organizational/process gaps
- Successfully create and lead projects and teams to deliver on
complex, fast-paced strategic initiatives for the company.
- Create a vision and plan for the continuous improvement roadmap
focusing on:
- Reducing time to resolve tickets and/or complete projects
- Deliver improved automation of tasks to reduce downtime of
customers
- General technology improvement that continuously drives us
toward 'best in class' managed services
- Create knowledge management system
- Drive all project management activities for assigned projects:
- Project initiation
- Project planning
- Task creation and delegation
- Work execution management and progress monitoring
- Status reporting
- Scope management
- Risk analysis, identification and mitigation
- Issue identification and resolution
- Communications
- Create and manage large teams and individual resources by
communicating expectations and holding allocated resources
accountable
- Manage project risks (costs, timelines, quality) through
identification, reporting, tracking and escalation
- Provide status reporting, presenting progress and risk updates
to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Take independent action and initiative to drive improvements
and resolve issues
- The person will operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and
challenging environment and they must be passionate, accepting of a
changing environment and constantly looking to influence the future
outlook of the company.
- Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3-5 years of experience working on process improvement
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a project management or
related role
- Highly ambitious, willing to take on new tasks with little to
no direction
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple
projects
- Exceptional written and verbal communication/interaction
skills
- Must present a professional image and demeanor at all
times
- Demonstrated competency with personal computer and
business-related software, in particular project management
software
- ITIL Foundation Certified
- Positive can-do attitude, engage well with all stakeholders,
demonstrate enthusiasm for customers, solve problems and
multi-task.
