Position overview: Support and coordinate the Software deployment
activities over the wind turbines fleet. Analyze performance and
operation of the wind turbine systems with a general perspective,
identifying and analyzing the root cause for any potential
issue.
How to contribute to our vision
Provide engineering support to the operations team by performing
the following activities:
Technical assessment in the functionality, health and performance
of the turbine control, performance and software
implementations.
Suggest engineering solutions to address customers' control and
performance issues to design team
Prepare and participate in technical meetings with customers
(remotely or in person) and agreed to lead on priority topics
Prepare and modify turbine operational parameters for software
upgrades
Identify technical issues trends and occurrences within the fleet
and prepare technical awareness documentation to be followed by the
site operations team
Manage and coordinate technical discussions with internal &
external customers in the Region.
Responsible for multiple major projects of the high complexity
requiring forefront-of-the-field & innovative solutions
Lead investigations using root cause analysis and continuous
improvement techniques
Collaboration with International teams and working in different
company cultures which requires proven international experience and
cross-cultural understanding.
What you need to make a difference
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Control
Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or foreign
degree equivalent) and has solid experience in the job offered or
in an acceptable alternate occupation
Must have solid experience with the following skill: leading
complex turbine power production issues in response to customer
claims or internal improvement projects
Must have solid experience with the following skills: demonstrated
ability to lead discussions on performance claims at wind turbine
and park (wind farm) level with customers/owners; experience
leading root cause investigations to understand, contain and
potentially solve incidents in a geared turbine
Expert use of diagnostic tools and data manipulation programs (i.e.
MATLAB, Python, R, SCADA, MySQL, C++, Tableau, etc.) as
demonstrated by the development of tools and proven results of
analysis data
Knowledge of industry standards, such as IEC 61400, used in
performance testing and metrics
Must have solid experience with the following skills: experience
providing negotiation support during modifications & upgrades; and
experience recommending solutions to improve customer metrics on
output and efficiency based on calculations and data analysis
Must have very good knowledge of English (C1 or C2)
Approximately 20% travel required to offices and wind turbine sites
both domestically and internationally.
