work. Job Summary The Human Resource Director is directly
responsible for the overall administration, coordination and
evaluation of the human resource function. Maintains and enhances
the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and
evaluating employee relations and human resources policies,
programs, and practices.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and
systems.
- Implements and annually updates the compensation program;
rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts bi-annual salary
surveys and helps develop merit pool; and analyzes
compensation.
- Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as
necessary.
- Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and
procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and
procedures.
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution,
change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and annual
re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files
VETS-4212 annually; files EEO-1 annually; maintaining other
records, reporting and logging to conform to EEO regulations.
- Helps coordinate all areas of training for the company. Assists
with the development of and monitors the spending of the corporate
training budget. Maintains employee training records.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and
temporary workers; writes and places requisitions; works with
hiring managers to screen and interview candidates; extends job
offers;
- Responsible for entire onboarding and offboarding process for
all employees. Conducts new-employee orientations; conducts exit
interviews.
- Responsible for employee development including management of
the employee development plan
- Manages and advises on all areas of employee relations
including conflict resolution, counseling and performance
improvement.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
Maintains all employee records and directory.
- Plans and executes employee morale and wellness program
activities and events on a regular basis.
- Participates in variety of meetings including administrative
and corporate staff meetings. Helps manage quarterly All Hands
meetings.
- Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department
initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new
approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual
improvements in efficiency of department and services
performed.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment

or without notice. Qualifications Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human
Resources, Business, or Organizational Development.
- A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in
Human Resources positions.
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation,
organizational planning, organization development, employee
relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations,
preferred.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications, preferred.

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee
coaching skills
- Excellent organizational management skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex
documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive
inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking
to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Essential
