Major Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Acts as an advocate of the company, identifies creative recruiting resources as well as initiates and maintains relationships with a network of contacts to continually increase the quality and diversity of industry niche talent pools
  • Understand key metrics designed to predict staffing needs and builds effective strategies to meet headcount goals
  • Initiates meetings with your hiring managers and develops a deep understanding of the core business/programs, to successfully execute complex recruiting tactics and understand job specifications and business needs
  • Consults with hiring managers in crafting detailed, compelling job descriptions and determines effective screening questions
  • Develops a variety of strategic sourcing methods to capture the candidate's attention and fill open positions via a variety of resources, including diversity partnerships
  • Reviews resumes and employment applications
  • Conducts phone interviews on an applicant's technical competence, applicable background, individual goals and ability to fit in the organization and function effectively
  • Consults with candidates, finds out what drives them and guides them through the hiring process
  • Submits qualified applicants to your hiring manager, schedules interviews and assists in the decision and negotiating process to ensure success in closing candidates
  • Collaborates with the Recruiting Assistants and various internal departments on any relocation needs, security clearance details, benefits, etc..
  • Works special projects as assigned; including proposal support, new contract transitions and incumbency recruiting, corporate projects such as process improvement or innovation initiatives
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with various colleges for career fairs and intern/graduate recruiting
  • Consistently and in real-time updates internal recruiting status report and ATS
  • Responsible for a volume of 10 - 20 active requisitions
  • May travel for site visits, career fairs or contract transitions (travel percentage is 5% - 10%)
    Required Skills & Education
    • Bachelor's degree and five to seven (5-7) years of full-life cycle recruiting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with the proven ability to staff multiple hard to fill positions
    • Five (5) years' recruiting for cleared, technical positions within government contracts or the federal industry
    • Experience sourcing resumes on ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed
    • Professionalism, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively negotiate verbally and in writing
    • Confident and capable of respectfully pushing back with hiring managers
      The Ideal Person For This Role
      • Be well-versed in government contracting and recruiting cleared, technical professionals
      • Build positive relationships throughout the organization which is imperative to success in this position
      • Have experience working with transitioning military candidates
      • You understand the long game of proactive sourcing and outreach by pipelining passive talent while engaging and nurturing them through strategic sustained efforts
      • You consider yourself to be flexible and comfortable with change and will continually adjust your work habits to adapt to SRC's recruiting practices

        All Federal contractor employees must have received their final COVID-19 vaccination no later than January 4, 2022, regardless of work location (including work from home), except for those employees that work only in foreign countries.
