Job Description Job Description Cooperidge Consulting Firm is
seeking an RN Cardiac Neuro (Stroke Unit) for a top Healthcare
client. This specialized role provides compassionate and reliable
care, focusing on the acute treatment and recovery of patients with
cardiac and neurological conditions, particularly those on the
designated Stroke Unit. The RN utilizes strong clinical assessment
skills to manage patient care autonomously, collaborating within
the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care and
optimal clinical outcomes. Job Responsibilities Collect
comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's neurological and
cardiac health situation and analyze assessment data to determine
priority diagnoses or issues. Monitor critical vital signs and
neurological status continuously, enabling timely intervention in
life-threatening situations and patient deterioration. Identify
expected, individualized outcomes and develop strategic plans that
prescribe alternatives to attain those goals. Advocate for patients
as part of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and
ethical practice are maintained. Educate patients and their
families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments,
providing support throughout their stay on the unit. Ensure
effective and efficient care, including the optimal use of time,
supplies, and equipment. Manage treatment autonomously, providing
general nursing care and continually prioritizing patient needs
based on clinical judgment. Requirements Education Registered Nurse
Diploma or Associate Degree is required. Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Experience One (1) year of recent
(within the last 1–2 years) Acute Care RN experience is preferred.
Flexibility: Candidates with Acute Rehabilitation experience (e.g.,
Kindred, Encompass, HealthSouth, Select Specialty) will be
considered if they are comfortable working on a Stroke Unit.
Certifications/Licenses Florida RN license and/or approved
multistate RN license is required . Compact license holders have 60
days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. Basic Cardiac
Life Support (BLS or BCLS Instructor) is required within 30 days of
start. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained
within 30 days of employment start. American Heart Association ACLS
Provider issued card is required within 6 months of employment
start date. Skills Proven ability to make autonomous clinical
assessments and manage treatment in a specialized unit environment.
Strong skills in complex cardiac and neurological assessment
(implied by NIHSS requirement). Excellent advocacy and
collaboration abilities for working within the interdisciplinary
