Job Description:
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is currently seeking a
qualified and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our
innovative and passionate team. In this role, you will be
responsible for using sophisticated equipment to create images of
various areas of a patient's body, aiding in the diagnosis and
treatment of various conditions. By being part of our team, you'll

diagnose and improve patient health. You will play a key role in
our daily operations and our continuous efforts to provide
exceptional healthcare services. Prepare and administer
radiopharmaceuticals or radiation to patients using radioisotope
equipment, under direction of a physician. Perform patient imaging
procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards to provide
optimal patient care. Maintain and operate imaging equipment,
troubleshoot any technical issues and ensure preventative
maintenance. Analyze biologic specimens in the laboratory to detect
abnormal or deficient activity of organs. Explain test procedures
and safety precautions to patients, and provide them comfort during
the test process. Prepare diagnostic information for physician
interpretation, and discuss outcomes with team members. Proficiency
in operating and maintaining nuclear medicine equipment.
Understanding of radiopharmaceuticals and their safe handling.
Ability to accurately analyze and interpret data. Strong
communication skills for patient interaction and effective
teamwork. Capability in maintaining detailed and precise records
according to healthcare regulations. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from
the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification in
Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)). State licensure where applicable.
