Pharmacy Claims Adjudication Top Required Skills: Prescription data entry and claims processing Specialty pharmacy operations and medication preparation Customer service and communication with patients and prescribers Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Active State of Florida Pharmacy Technician License required 3–5 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in specialty pharmacy Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA Understanding of legal, regulatory, accreditation, and safety requirements Must-Have Skills: 3–5 years of pharmacy or specialty pharmacy experience Prescription data entry, refill processing, and claims adjudication Knowledge of drug terminology, therapies, and specialty pharmacy services Intermediate pharmaceutical calculations for accurate dosing HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality practices Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience in specialty pharmacy shipping and logistics Quality assurance documentation experience Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory standards On-call pharmacy support experience Key Responsibilities and Duties: Enter and process new and refill prescriptions, supplies, and equipment requests accurately Communicate with prescribers and patients to obtain prescription authorizations, clarifications, and schedule deliveries Support pharmacists by preparing prescriptions, labeling, packaging, and forwarding orders for verification Adjudicate pharmacy claims and resolve related issues Select appropriate medications, supplies, and ancillaries based on patient and medication needs Prepare and pack prescriptions for shipment, generate shipping labels, and ensure client-specific materials are included
