Job Description Internal Medicine Program Director - Gainesville, FLAn established Internal Medicine Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida, in partnership with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking a Program Director to lead its growing academic program.Position Details - Immediate need - Employed - Existing Practice - Outpatient - Board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine is required - Minimum 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program - Minimum 3 years of prior GME administrative experience required - Willingness to integrate administrative duties with diagnostic and teaching responsibilities - Strong administrative and team-building skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Candidates with recent scholarly activity are strongly encouraged to apply, including: - Peer-reviewed funding - Publications in peer-reviewed journals or textbooks - Presentations at scientific society meetings - Involvement in national committees or educational organizationsLocation - Nestled in the landscape of North Central Florida, Gainesville is known for its preservation of historic buildings, art, cultural diversity, and the beauty of its natural surroundings; including numerous springs, lakes, outdoor parks and museums. - Not far from either coast, Gainesville is just a short drive to sandy beaches and some of Floridas most notable attractions. - Recognized as one of Floridas most livable cities, Gainesville is an innovative city that combines both a small and big town feel.
