    • Works with network leadership to gain an understanding of pediatric service lines educational needs, assists in facilitating education assessments and works to create custom education plans based data and feedback.
    • Builds, develops, and facilitates custom simulation experiences for pediatric and neonatal departments at the AdventHealth quaternary hub and throughout the AdventHealth for Children network of care.
    • Represents Children's leadership as a member of the PEDREADY State Coalition Group to ensure standardization and establishment of best practices for our pediatric emergency service line.
    • Works in collaboration with unit/department educator(s) on the orientation and education plan for new hires and to develop and facilitate annual staff competency assessments.
    • Leads the development and facilitation of skills fairs throughout the AdventHealth for Children care network and provides skills fair support and guidance to unit/department educators at the AdventHealth for Children quaternary hub.
    • Assures highest quality clinical practices. Ensures clinical and education materials used throughout the AdventHealth for Women Network are standardized and up to date. Champions performance improvement activities and oversees change implementation, and the evaluation of outcomes. Supports process improvement initiatives for the department through the use of evidence-based practice and in collaboration with leadership.
    • Leads network education team in process improvement, assessments, and validation. Ensures accurate, timely, and efficient data collection and reporting. QualificationsWhat Will You Need: Education and Experience Required
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
      • Five years nursing experience in pediatric acute care
      • Three to five years nursing education experience
      • Two years simulation education experience Education and Experience Preferred
        • > 2 years in Level III Neonatal ICU
        • Master's degree in nursing (MSN)
        • Master's degree in simulation Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required
          • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
          • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
          • Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol
          • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
          • Active Registered Nurse licensure Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred
            • Professional certification from a national organization in a related specialty
            • BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP Instructor Job Summary The Pediatric, Neonatal, and Network Educator (PNNE) is a solution focused leader responsible for the execution and sustainability of children's simulation and educational experience programs throughout the AdventHealth for Children network of care. The PNNE supports and oversees onboarding and annual staff competency assessments through close relationships with the local and network leadership. This role uses their knowledge and experience in hospital operations and evidenced based practice to design and lead strategies to improve nursing education and provide and consultation on a variety of disciplines. The PNNE uses their understanding of learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse experience levels. They work to build trust and establish strong relationships with stakeholders. The PNNE actively participates in outstanding customer service, including service to patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
