DescriptionSHIFT: Nights (rotating weekends) SCHEDULE: Full-time 7p-7a Central Florida Regional Hospital has opened a new ER at 4525 International Parkway in Sanford. The 11,000-square-foot facility features 12 private patient care rooms, a dedicated trauma room, and laboratory and imaging services, including CT scan, ultrasound and x-ray. We are growing a team of over 40 colleagues at this facility, come be a part of our exciting growth! The Charge RN Emergency Services supervises nursing service activities in assigned nursing unit for the duration of the assigned shift or in the absence of nursing management. Is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments. Desired skills: Minimum of 2-4 years of recent RN Emergency Services experience desired. Previous Charge responsibilities required. Strong RN ED background required. CEN a plus, but not required. PALS and TNCC is required. Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred. Minimum 4 years RN experience in acute care setting preferred.. Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications Current NIHSS (National Institute Health Stroke Scale) required -New hire/transfer into higher skill level must obtain within 30 days. Required to work under NIHSS credentials RN until training certificate obtained. Current PALS/TNCC certification required. Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
