Save Education - Bachelor's Degree - High School Diploma or GED BASIC FUNCTION: The Assistant Director of Housekeeping is responsible for providing for the comfort and cleanliness of property guests, visitors and employees. The Assistant Director of Housekeeping also works in establishing standards of service and cleanliness and interprets these standards to employees through training and standards of performance evaluations. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE v High school diploma or equivalent. v Four-year college degree or equivalent business experience in large resort setting. v Five years experience in a similar position. v Ability to communicate effectively. v Knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals. v Ability to effectively motivate and drive team performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Responsible for driving the cleanliness and reported maintenance of all guest rooms, heart of house, and public space areas. 2. Create cleaning SOPS & STOs for the Grove Resort. Assign, train and direct the staff to give the maximum efficiency in performance, maintaining the policies and standards of the property. 3. Responsible for housekeeping payroll & vendor invoice validation for payment. 4. Monitor guest feedback and develop action plans to reduce housekeeping opportunities. 5. Implement incentive programs for inspectors and room attendants to drive performance. 6. Coordinate with the Front Office daily/weekly to review occupancy levels for staffing and ress guest/owner opportunities. 7. Partner with Engineering to proactively identify maintenance room challenges prior to guest arrival utilizing HotSos. 8. Put measures in place to effectively monitor and drive housekeeping productivity daily. 9. Supervise inventory system for supplies and equipment and establish reorder levels; keep repair records for equipment. Organize and Control OSE inventory and budget. Ensure proper par levels and controls are in place with monthly audits. 10. Maintain records of linen usage and compare to occupancy levels. Review linen inventory and oversee laundry operations with vendor. 11. Test and evaluate cleaning supplies and equipment. 12. Coordinate supplies and equipment through requisition system and the Purchasing Department. 13. Meet with vendors and contractors to learn about new products and services offered. 14. Establish and supervise system of controls to ensure that maximum standards of service are maintained. 15. Prepare an annual budget outline for capital expenditures for the Housekeeping Department with the Director of Housekeeping. 16. Promote the 'Be the Difference' culture within your department, with our guests/owners and our employees. 17. Oversee daily operations and handle any operational matters in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping. 18. Ability to work all shifts as needed. 19.
