Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill a Manager position in the Cyber and Networks Engineering at our Orlando, FL location. This organization supports Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Mission Integration, Distributed Mission Networks, and Wideband SATCOM. This is a dual role encompassing both people leadership and technical performance; therefore the Manager will spend a portion of their time (20%) managing a team and the remaining time working cyber and network engineering activities for programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for a team of highly skilled engineers. The responsibilities associated with managing this team include: Cost Area Account Manager (CAM), Engineering Manager (EM), or Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for assigned projects, programs, or IPTs Functional oversight for a team of engineers working multiple initiatives, primarily across the Airborne C4ISR Systems division, including follow-on contracts, new business growth opportunities, internal research and development, and capital projects Staffing and workload forecast; resource, travel, and timecard approval; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs; management and execution of employee performance review processes; and leadership and execution for a multitude of functional management processes. Recruiting of new talent to meet staffing commitments Where appropriate, interface with the customer as the face of Northrop Grumman The responsibilities associated with working cyber and network engineering activities include: Acting as the Cyber Security or Networking Architecture/Engineering lead Computer system operation and the operation of complex software Working knowledge of networks and an understanding of network architectures Identifying security events (when and how to react to events) Develop Cyber System architectures and perform engineering activities to design systems to the architecture including Computer, Operating System, Application, and Computer Networking engineering activities Participate in technical interchange meetings Provide support for development and enhancement of security engineering inputs to program documentation and Security Authorization packages Support security controls tailored to meet existing threats Support Assessment & Authorization activities, to include Policy & Procedure development, as well as Risk Management Framework (RMF) Test Plan development and execution Develop engineering project plans to include schedule and labor estimates Develop or support the development of proposal inputs such as Labor Estimates, Basis of Estimates, and Bill of Materials The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. The candidate will work closely with the managers of other engineering disciplines as well as program directors/managers. To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our Selecting the Best Qualified Managers video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideo FLOMSTRBasic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of technical experience in any combination of Cyber Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Cyber/Secure Software/Firmware or Hardware Engineering, or Cybersecurity/Information Assurance disciplines 3+ years previous experience in a Cyber Security or IT Project/IPT leadership role US Citizenship is required and must have a current DoD Secret security clearance Current DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II or higher (reference: http://iase.disa.mil/iawip/Pages/iabaseline.aspx for list of qualified certifications) Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to travel for customer meetings Preferred Qualifications: Master Degree in Engineering, IT, MIS, or other STEM discipline Experience with LVC, Simulation Training networks and services or SATCOM networks and systems 6+ years previous experience in People and Cyber Security or IT Technical Leadership roles 5+ years of previous experience with direct customer interaction Knowledge and working experience with the Airborne C4ISR Systems missions Active DoD Top Secret Clearance Current DoD 8570 certification requirements for an IAM II or IAT III position (CISSP or equivalent) Experience with full lifecycle of Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization Knowledge of networks and basic networking architecture Experience with networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion management solutions, network access control, and related solutions Demonstrated past experience of Linux and Windows operating systems and applications Vulnerability assessment experience Experience as Proposal volume lead and proposal writingNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
