Job PurposeThe Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing external and internal communication strategies across multiple channels. This talented individual is creative with strong written and oral communication skills, detail-oriented, collaborative, manages multiple projects effectively, and possesses the ability to think and execute strategically, creatively, and proactively. The Communications Manager will also standardize and evolve communication efforts while strengthening relationships with stakeholders and audiences. Duties and ResponsibilitiesExternal Communications

  • Oversee strategy, creation, and maintenance of communications plans and programs to maximize brand value and positioning.
  • Direct executive visibility and 26Health brand-building campaigns, engaging target audiences through offline and online communications, such as digital, media, owned channels, op-eds, video interviews, podcasts, events, and conference engagement.
  • Manage website, social media, and email marketing communications, including content creation, calendars, monitoring, reporting, and online reputation management.
  • Develop, manage, and produce communications collateral that delivers a cohesive image and message consistent with branding and digital strategies.
  • Collaborate with agency partners on engagement programs focused on establishing and strengthening brand awareness.
  • Identify media storytelling and editorial opportunities that align with the objectives for all 26Health business units in key markets.
  • Spearhead crisis communications to protect the 26Health brand through strategic tactics and initiatives.
  • Establish, support, and execute thought leadership strategy for key stakeholders.
  • Draft and distribute press releases and serve as media relations point of contact.
  • Create press releases and kits and communicate with media outlets and journalists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.Internal Communications
    • Collaborate with all departments to identify and deliver communication needs.
    • Author, maintain, and deploy content for company-wide communications, including intranet/SharePoint updates, weekly newsletter, and communication tools and resources.
    • Relay feedback from digital channels to appropriate department heads for management.
    • Manage style guides and brand voice outlines for departments.
    • Consult with executive management to develop effective communication procedures and policies for various situations for staff crisis management.
    • Write letters, interdepartmental memos, and other business correspondence.
    • Develop materials to educate staff on communication practices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. Research and Reporting
      • Review analytics from digital and social channels, identifying opportunities to enhance content, engagement, and communications.
      • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies.
      • Examine and monitor trends within the industry and among our markets, as well as what's important to our audiences and culture. Adapt communications strategies as necessary.
      • Distill and distribute data-driven reports with insight to inform strategy and creative communications opportunities. Calendar Oversight
        • Develop and maintain editorial, social media, public relations, and website content calendars.
        • Partner with internal stakeholders on content additions to calendars. Qualifications
          • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
          • Five (5) or more years' experience in all facets of communications.
          • Strong understanding of communications trends and digital marketing.
          • Knowledge of journalistic writing style, such as Associated Press.
          • Experience with project management, executive support, and thought leadership.
          • Digital and multimedia experience; proficient in using and managing digital tools and platforms to create and edit graphic and audio/visual content.
          • Intermediate to advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
          • Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
          • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
          • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as superior time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Working conditions
            • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May involve extended periods outside of the office at meetings with various individuals or organizations in the community.Physical requirements
