Options General Operations Prof Expert - Logistics Senior Manager -
( ADV0007R3 ) Your Impact: Jacobs is looking for Senior Manager to
lead our logistics department supporting NASA at the Kennedy Space
Center. We are looking for an innovative professional to lead the
Logistics Warehousing & Distribution, Property, Inventory Planning
and Customer Support organizations. The ideal candidate will have
extensive knowledge and experience in logistics management with an
aptitude for -
proactive and continuous process improvement. -
The Logistics Senior Manager will: -
Provide personnel leadership, mentoring, and management for
logistics and property managers and employees. -
Proactively manage inventory and supply chain within allocated
budget. -
Communicate effectively with Senior leadership and employees. -
Ensure coordination with Logistics Engineer and Procurement
functions. -
Meet Customer demands for hardware, whether stocked or purchase
required to meet need dates, including OEM flight hardware. -
Ensure team is responsive to customer needs. -
Provide guidance to team to improve and document processes,
including chartering teams to work root cause analyses and
corrective actions if needed. -
Assess and approve purchase requisitions to ensure that the right
quantity is being requested for stock and budget. -
Coordinate with the NASA Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) and
International Space Station (ISS) customers to ensure that support
meets expectations and within budget. -
Manage union requirements per the existing CBA. -
Should have knowledge of Receiving, Warehousing, Material Service
Center processes and operations as well as Property requirements.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Logistics process requirements
and ensure personnel compliance. -
Demonstrate knowledge of safety requirements and recognize when
team demonstrates safe behaviors. -
Assess monthly metrics and address negative trends. Access to

Need: Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (BS) in related field; at
least 15 years related experience including at least five years of
successfully managing people.
- Job Requirements - Requires demonstrated leadership skills
evidenced by prior managerial, supervisory, and/or technical
leadership experience. - Excellent communication, presentation, and
customer interface skills required. - Ability to manage resources
effectively within budgetary and time constraints. - Computer
experience with Microsoft Office products, internet browsers, and
Outlook. - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security
clearance, if necessary. -Physical Requirements - Will be required
to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting. - Will be
required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other
associated personal protective equipment. - Position may involve
extended periods of sitting or standing. - Physical requirements
are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access
to remote structures. - Position is located on a hazardous testing
facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event
of an emergency. Work Environment - Will be required to work inside
and outside throughout the test complex. - Position may require
individual to travel daily to different areas on site. - Walking on
uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand,
is required to access various locations on the facility. - Climbing
ladders and platforms may be necessary. - All work must be
completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company
safety standards. Equipment and Machines - Computers and printers
used for producing reports and schedules. - Variety of equipment
used in testing. Attendance - Full-time work hours. - Position may
require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on
task. - Must be dependable and punctual. - Shift work may be
required. Other Essential Functions - Must be able to accurately
communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication. - Must be
able to travel to support position requirements. This may include
travel to and from customer location, which may involve airline
travel. In some cases, accommodations can be made for POV, if
necessary. - Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the
position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee
or others. - Must comply with all "drug free workplace"
requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate
federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug
testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive
positions. - Government security clearance may be required in the
future. - Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and
communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with
