Position Summary The Sr. Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for oversight and leadership of marketing and communications activities that align with Stellar MLS brand standards. The Sr. Manager will work with The CGRO to align strategic initiatives and will collaborate with all departments to increase brand awareness to increase the and customer awareness of Stellar MLS products and tools, by identifying, developing and delivering relevant and valuable content, often targeted to a specific customer audience. The Sr. manager is responsible for creating and executing a marketing/communications plan to keep MLS customers informed about Stellar MLS products and services that are relevant and valuable to their business and will work to promote the brand through targeted campaigns in an effort to support growth. This position also manages the marketing and communications of the Stellar MLS consumer brand and will play a major role in developing creative concepts and themes for product launch and ongoing marketing initiatives to drive customer satisfaction. The manager is responsible for the day-day operation of the Marketing and Communications department. This position reports to the Chief Growth & Relationship Officer and is a full-time, salary, exempt position. Essential Core Competencies The core competencies for this position are:Building Relationships - Building and sustaining relationships, internally and externally, for the benefit of Stellar MLSInformed Decisions - Ability to generate options and make sound decisions.Customer Focus - The drive and ability to deliver exceptional service to customers and colleagues.Personal Leadership - The ability to engage and inspire others to collaboratively work to common goals Innovation - Drive and ability to generate and use ideas to improve business results Requirements: Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day supervision, mentorship, disciplinary action/coaching, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all the department's personnelIdentify and recommend opportunities for marketing and communication projects for the department Work closely with supervisor, team members, graphic and web designers, other department managers to align marketing and communication goals for the brand as well as the products and tools offered by Stellar MLS with overall company objectives. Create and execute an annual editorial calendar to ensure effective cadence of product marketing communications and initiatives and diversity in modes of communication to customers.Deliver marketing-driven communications, print and promotional materials, including articles, emails, creative copy, blogs, social media posts and other content about Stellar MLS products and tools. Develop and oversee execution of marketing and advertising strategy for MLS and propriety products.Work with supervisor and the Business Development team to develop compelling and relevant product marketing content and communications for new Customers and Shareholder Associations.Work in partnership with graphic designer and web developer to create digital content that supports product marketing and communications efforts, such as guides, infographics, images, landing pages and videos.Ensure content on product web pages on the corporate and consumer search sites is kept relevant and up to date..Oversee customer surveys as requested by management, including development, distribution, response management and reporting upon conclusion. Liaise and collaborate with the other departments to ensure product content is up to date in relation to new product releases or updates.Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting. Occasional after hours work and travel are required.Timely and regular attendance is an essential function of the position; being physically present in the work environment is an essential job function Other Essential SkillsAdvanced and extensive proofreading/editing skills.Fluency in AP Style, marketing best practices and copywriting techniques.Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills. Proven ability to write clearly and effectively for various audiences.Exceptional customer service skills.Advance knowledge of marketing and communications best practices and tools.Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, keeping excellent attention to detail and meeting deadlinesTeam-player, with ability to be effective independently.Maintain professionalism with customers, vendors, and staff at all times. Essential Physical SkillsAcceptable vision and hearing (with or without correction).Bending on occasion.Talking for long periods of time, approximately 8-10 hours a day.Lifting up to approximately 30 pounds occasionally.Sitting for long periods of time approximately, approximately 8-10 hours a day.Writing and/or typing for long periods of time, approximately 8-10 hours a day. Education, Certifications, and SoftwareBA/BS in a Communications or Marketing field, or equivalent work experience.2+ year's leadership experience preferredWorking knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, or other graphics tools preferred.Digital marketing certification a plus.
