BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Central Florida Summary This position is located in Central Florida in the Tampa/Orlando area or the Jacksonville area. Vulcan Industries has been providing merchandising display solutions for over 75 years. A successful Business Development Manager will create and build client relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain projects. This role assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients. The Business Development Manager will provide ideas and insights to assist customers in merchandising displays and being more customer friendly. This person should actively seek new customers as well as maintain and grow current customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop proposals to present to clients/ prospective clients

      • Ability to speak before an audience with poise and confidence
      • Ability to work well within an office environment and with shop personnel, as well as remotely
      • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
      • Experience developing Power Point presentations
      • At least 4 years' experience in business development, preferably for the display industry Preferred Knowledge and Skills
        • Ability to open and close the door with new retailers and consumer goods companies.
        • Bachelor's degree in business or another related field preferred, but not required
        • Experience with Salesforce / CRM
        • Preferred knowledge / relationship with large retailers, beverage companies, and / or beverage distributors. Working Conditions
          • Inside usual office environment / remotely from home office

            • Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar
            • Ability to learn software applications and processes quickly.

              • Ability to open doors with new retailers and consumer goods companies. High expectations to generate new business within the territory.
              • Developing and maintaining customer relationships that result in increased sales of VI products consistent with regulatory requirements and ethical business practices.
