As a Veteran Experience Officer (VEO) under the VA Community Care
Network (VA CCN) contract you will have the unique opportunity to
build strong, long-lasting relationships with the VA Medical
Centers (VAMCs) in your assigned Veterans Integrated Service
Network (VISN) and have a direct impact on Veteran health care
delivery. You will provide education, facilitate collaboration, and
be integral in resolving and escalating issues for your VAMCs.
As a member of the Community Care Experience Team (CCET) you will
be part of team dedicated to partnering with our VAMCs and our
internal partners to refine community care networks, implement
innovative solutions to complex problems, and provide ongoing
contract support.

Primary Responsibilities:
Create and maintain positive, trust-based relationships with the
VAMCs Office of Community Care leaders and staff in the assigned
VISN
Serve as the primary point-of-contact between the VAMCs and the
Optum VA CCN internal support teams
Partner with the VAMCs to identify top priorities and assessment of
local health care market nuances
Engage VAMCs to monitor changes in the supply of healthcare within
the VA and local health care market and work with the network team
to review, research, and maintain a balanced workload and access to
care
Educate and train the VAMCs on updates and changes to the VA CCN
contract
Work with CCET leadership to help to identify cost containment
strategies
Research, triage, and provide issue escalation resolution for the
VAMCs
Provide monthly briefings to each VAMC and to the VISN on
referrals, claims, network adequacy, and program updates
Travel at least twice per year to each VAMC

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
5+ years of experience building and maintaining client
relationships such as managing client issues and answering client
questions
Up to 50% travel
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses
must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group

all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of
vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
3+ years of leadership or management experience
3+ years of Military and/or VA relationship Management
experience
Experience in the healthcare industry
Experience using data to accomplish goals
Excellent presentation and communication skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range
for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for
Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based
on several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
