as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Life Sciences Growth Sales Leader to provide
leadership of team of client executives (approximately 10
FTEs)
- Develop, coach and manage client management sales executives to
achieve sales targets and goals
- Provide exceptional people leadership with a focus on engaging,
developing and retaining key executives as well as attracting top
talent into the organization
- Accountable to ensure sale of Optum solutions to new,
prospective and / or existing clients to purchase solutions from
Optum's Life Sciences Portfolio
- Growth and renewal quota for the full Life Sciences growth team
(approximately $190M TCV)
- Ensure adequate sales pipeline growth and close rates to meet
and exceed business objectives
- Ensure retention and expansion of existing client revenue
base
- Drive complex solutions and expand solutioning within clients
and across the markets
- Cultivate and deepen C - suite and / or complex client
relationships
- Drive sales, product development and distribution of Optum's
most complex solutions to solve client needs and drive growth for
the enterprise
- Coordinate with the practice leaders and corporate marketing on
the execution of marketing strategy, including though not limited
to client forums, information on new solutions, competition,
markets, and demand trends
- Work closely with - and provide counsel to - Optum Life
Sciences and Growth Office senior leadership regarding market
trends -
- Significant time is spent out of the office with clients, at
industry events, or leading growth team You'll be rewarded and

you may be interested in. - Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree -
- 8+ years of selling and successfully closing data, analytics,
consulting or similar solutions and services to Pharmaceutical,
Medical Device and/or Biotech organizations
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing a
cross-functional teams
- 3+ years of healthcare and sales management experience
- 3+ years of experience selling into Life Science
organizations
- Demonstrated experience with pharmaceutical, medical device
and/or biotech procurement processes
- Documented track record of sales target attainment as an
individual contributor with annual sales targets above $30M
- Documented track record of leading a successful sales team of
at least five team members with annual team targets of at least
$100M
- Willing to travel nationally up to 50%

or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents
is $175,000 to $260,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada
residents is $175,000 to $260,000. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
