Job Summary

Technical subject matter expert (SME) for the Learning Management System (LMS) online training platform. Manages assignments and completion tracking of mandatory and elective learning initiatives for all employees and contractors. Responsible for reports for Compliance, HR, and Learning & Development (domestic), HR and Legal leaders. Pro-actively leads and shapes requirements gathering discussions and education decisions for newly hired and transitioning employees, based on technical knowledge, LMS experience and analytical skills. Leverages project management skills and technical experience to evaluate system options and LMS vendor capabilities to meet functional requirements. Leads troubleshooting and independent problem solving of complex technical issues within the LMS. Balance completion of instructional design projects for HR, Leadership Development and Legal work streams by owning responsibilities for curriculum design, publication and course maintenance of all instructor-led, and online training for Conifer Health Solutions

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Conducts complex root-cause analysis on employee/contractor LMS access and/or data issues; resolves or proposes solutions. Documents and analyzes business rules and identifies process improvements. Leads or manages projects related to the implementation and maintenance of LMS system changes, upgrades, or conversions. Contribute to the technical coordination and integration of HRMS data and systems supporting the LMS.
Documents customer requirements and serves as lead liaison between customers and technical support personnel. Develops and maintains LMS support process documentation for various course assignments and creation of job function processes. Manages students, student groups and assists administrators at a company-wide level.
Collaborates with Learning and Development, HR and Legal leaders to ensure customer needs are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Creates learning events, assignments and reports at the enterprise level. Participates in or facilitates LMS requirements discussions to solve business needs. Train users in related systems and processes by leading training and creating documentation to support/reinforce approved procedures.
Overall responsibility for curriculum design, publication and course maintenance of all instructor-led, self-study and online training for leadership development, legal and HR for Conifer Health Solutions; effectively drive completion of Training Intakes and quality review of all deliverables.
Create interactive, engaging learning events; promote development opportunities that increase design skills and utilization of technology.
Participate in vendor management with pricing, contract negotiations, and assist with managing vendor relationships.

Three- to five years eLearning course authoring experience and mentor-level technical expertise required; must be able to demonstrate skills and coach Instructional Designers to:
apply instructional design standards and adult learning theory
conduct needs assessments and consult on performance improvement solutions
incorporate basic graphic design knowledge in the creation of multi-media SCORM-compliant instructional courseware, using tools such as video, Photoshop, Flash, Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Studio, HTLM5, and Flash
incorporate design standards needed specifically for virtual (WebEx) and mobile delivery
Demonstrate business acumen: skills and vision to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives; can translate concepts into content
Customer-focus and decision-making: diplomatically manage diverse stakeholder needs, negotiating priorities and deadlines; build a network of resources; establish credible, trusting, consultative relationships with clients
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, across all levels of audiences; establish strong peer relationships, demonstrate and promote teamwork
Action oriented: work independently with strong personal initiative; manage personal design projects, team member projects and team development needs simultaneously, within established time frames
Champion change and continuous improvement in technology and processes; seek diverse views and inspire innovation
Significant experience with course publication in Learning Management Systems and administration of SharePoint sites
Experience as a system support administrator for Learning Management System, or equivalent Business Analyst/IS experience
Independent, logical thinker with advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to independently problem solve complex technical issues within the LMS
Knowledge of web technologies and fundamental knowledge of e-learning authoring programs
Proven project management skills
Excellent professional communication skills through clearly written, concise and comprehensive documentation
Initiative and discretion in accomplishing duties with minimum supervision

Education / Experience

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Minimum education: college degree required
Previous 3-5 years' experience leading a corporate Instructional Design team or as a Sr. Instructional Designer required

Required Certifications/Licensure

Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
