BriarTeam, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Mechanic for Heavy Equipment to join our construction unit. While traditionally focused on IT, our expansion into construction project support requires seasoned professionals adept in maintaining and repairing heavy construction machinery. This role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of equipment crucial for on-site success in challenging environments. Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on heavy construction equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic problems with contemporary diagnostic tools. Communicate regularly with project management and logistics teams to ensure machinery reliability and readiness. Manage inventory of tools and repair equipment, and order replacements as necessary. Maintain meticulous records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and the condition of each piece of machinery. Adhere to safety policies and protocols, and actively promote a safe working environment. Strong understanding of diesel technology and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software specific to heavy construction equipment. Ability to work independently in remote and challenging environments. Effective communication and organizational skills.
