Job Description:
Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is
seeking a Diesel Reefer Technician to join our skilled labor team.
This role focuses on maintaining and repairing diesel refrigeration
units which are critical in preserving the quality and safety of
goods during transport. As a Diesel Reefer Technician, you'll be
entrusted with ensuring the operability of our refrigeration units,
applying your technical skills to solve complex problems, and
contributing to our commitment to efficiency and innovation. This
position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment
with a team dedicated to supporting transportation services across
various industries. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in diesel
engines and refrigeration units. Perform scheduled maintenance on
reefer units to ensure full functionality. Keep detailed records of
services and repairs conducted on each unit. Follow safety
protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Stay updated with new technologies and techniques in refrigeration
and transportation. Assist in inventory management of parts and
supplies. Provide on-site support during critical situations to
minimize downtime. Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics
and refrigeration systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and
software for troubleshooting. Skill in mechanical repairs and
maintenance techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and
attention to detail. Good communication skills for reporting and
teamwork. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
ASE Certification in Refrigeration (T-Series) recommended. EPA
Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
