Job Description:
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Associate to join our Merritt
Island Aerospace and Defense Practice! We are currently seeking a
Civil Engineering Associate for our Aerospace team in Merritt
Island, Florida. As an associate in RS&Hs Aerospace and
Equipment Service Group, the qualified candidate will work with
specialized design teams on studies and designs of land development
and infrastructure supporting vertical and horizontal launch
vehicle related programs and the Department of Defense. Duties will
include site visits, performing engineering calculations, analyses,
development of drawings and specifications, and supporting
submittals to permitting agencies. An understanding of launch and
space vehicle systems requirements is a plus and excitement for
supporting space exploration is required. The successful candidate
will have a demonstrated ability to work as an integral member of
the team. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil
Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university, or
equivalent degreeWorking knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD or
Civil 3DAbility to work within a multi-discipline engineering teamA
motivated self-starter that accepts new challenges with an open
mind and maintains a great attitudeDue to the nature of client
projects, US citizenship or permanent legal residency is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Environmental Resource Permitting
(ERP) experience with the Saint Johns River Water Management
District (SJRWMD)Engineer In Training certificationInterest and
understanding of rocket launch pads and ground support systemsWe
