opportunity available for a Sr. Principal Chief Engineer located in
Apopka, FL.What You'll Get To Do:The Sr. Principal Chief Engineer
is responsible for the technical direction and execution of all
aspects of engineering on a program including design, development,
implementation, integration, testing, and delivery of product to
the customer. The Sr. Principal Chief Engineer is the technical
leader for the program engineering team and serves as technical
advisor to the program manager. The Sr. Principal Chief Engineer is
typically the primary technical point-of-contact to the customer.
The Sr. Principal Chief Engineer coordinates across the program's
Systems Engineering team and other engineering teams. The new team
member will ensure that all engineering teams adhere to sound
engineering processes, in accordance with company policies,
procedures, and quality standards. The selected candidate will
perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations,
significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.
The selected candidates are expected to be self-motivated,
highly-organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal
and written communication skills.Roles & Responsibilities:Lead and
direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design,
manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and
production phasesSupport proposal development and new program
acquisition effortsInterpret statements of work assigned by program
leadershipDevelop and execute to project budgets and schedules,
including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path
management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload
forecastsInterface with functional departments to secure team
staffingWork with suppliers and be able to articulate project
requirementsBrief internal and customer leadership on progress of
work assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and a minimum
of 9 Years related experience; 7 Years related experience with
MastersExperience leading technical teams in development and/or
production programsExperience in systems development, integration,
and test of complex EO/IR or electronic systemsKnowledge of earned
value managementAbility to obtain DoD Secret clearancePreferred
Qualifications:Master's degree in STEM discipline or technical
managementExperience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projectsSalary Range:
$112,000 USD - $168,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
