Job Summary:

Supports the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of complex information system storage infrastructure, including both traditional and hyper converged architectures. Maintains relevancy with commercial storage solutions, processes and architectures to keep pace with industry offerings and trends. Supports the design and Implementation of enhancements to the system, ensuring that application software, cybersecurity and operational use cases are fully accounted for. Responsible for ensuring maximum system uptime and rapidly responds to hardware and software failures. Quickly diagnoses operational, performance or other issues and leads the implementation of resolutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Experience with SAN systems is crucial. Both EMC and NetApp storage systems are used
• Implement, operate, and provide trouble-shooting support for VMware vSphere and VMware NSX virtualization infrastructure and NetApp storage systems
• Balance hybrid cloud distribution between corporate infrastructure and public clouds
• Install and configure hardware and software components for DoD data centers
• Create standardized data center designs, implementation, and operations documentation
• Collect and present network, systematic, performance, and other metrics to show automation improvements or degradation over time
• Establish processes for maintaining infrastructure across the enterprise to include automated system checks
• Work as part of a fast moving highly diverse team across multiple projects simultaneously
• Ensures system stability, accessibility, and proper configuration of assigned technical systems and components.
• Document problems/issues via IT ticketing system/tracking log Additional Job Functions:
  • Identify, locate, resolve and repair problems proactively
  • Document and present performance records and results.
  • Document problems/issues via IT ticketing system/tracking log.
  • Review and update all information security management system process and procedures (data/software).
    
    Required Education/Experience:
    
    Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or information technology from an accredited college or university. Five to Ten years of work experience preferred. Security+ and/or CISSP certifications are required, or must be completed within six months of hire.
    
    Other Requirements:
    
    Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a Secret security clearance, with an ability to obtain a TS/SCI. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
    
    Position requires COVID 19 full vaccination or willingness to test as required by the customer; testing is at the cost of the individual.
