work.(sm) As an Principal Engineer, you will be part of the Core
Technologies & Operations team that builds and supports the
infrastructure at Landmark Health. You will lead aspects of
architecting, delivering, optimizing, and supporting mature
technology scaling, automation, & technology improvements into
engineering and all other areas of business. You'll enjoy the
flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you
take on some tough challenges. - - Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead developing and implementing internal systems,
infrastructure, processes, and best practices to be used by teams
designed to increase productivity
- Automate deployment, monitoring and site reliability for
on-premise and cloud platforms including ongoing support and "run"
operations.
- Lead drawing up detailed architectural designs, and standards
to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, scale,
security, and high availability either on-premise or in the
cloud.
- Recommend and design architecture to meet business
requirements
- Design, deliver, deploy and/or support scalable infrastructure
solutions encompassing the following domains (one or
multiple):
- Hosting (data-center co-lo, cloud, hybrid, compute,
storage)
- Disaster Recovery /BCP
- Network connectivity (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, etc.)
- Site build services (physical real-estate IT Infrastructure
build & support)
- Server OS virtualization, failover, and replication
- Server software distribution, monitoring, and reliability
management
- Pre-production environment design, delivery, management, and
upkeep (on-premise, hybrid, or cloud) - as assigned
- Monitoring, APM, and user experience management
tools/capabilities/solutions - as assigned
- ETL & data exchange technologies, services, capabilities - as
assigned.
- Design and maintain the customer facing and corporate global
data center technologies
- Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, network, and
security infrastructure
- Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business
continuity architecture
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance
and capacity standards
- Troubleshoot production issues (via trouble tickets) and any
Sev 1 issues (outages), and respond to escalations
- Verify and resolve configuration and other non-software related
issues
- Coach and mentor other engineers on methods and techniques

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of network experience
- Experience with infrastructure management tools such as: PRTG,
AppDynamics, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins
- Experience with High Availability setups using multiple
strategies (master/slave, clusters, federation, etc.)
- Experienced in establishing tech standards, influencing
technical decisions, building consensus, and presenting to non-IT
users with business case details
- Hands-on technical expertise in a complex environment of 5000+
user base globally in DevOps, IT Infrastructure (on premise,
hybrid, cloud, migration to cloud) - including either Azure, AWS,
or GCP
- Hands-on technical expertise in Data Center operations,
Disaster Recovery/BCP, Server OS and virtualization, Replication of
IT Infrastructure between sites (Example: Zerto)
- Ability to plan and execute technology project for our
technology and business teams Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- Experience interfacing with Business users
- Experience scaling infrastructure that interacts with 3rd party
services
- Colocation experience
- Thrive in a diverse, dynamic environment that leverages
multiple tools and languages
- Live and breathe all things infrastructure automation and
scalability
- Mature opinions on how technology changes are planned,
implemented and maintained
- Ability to communicate effectively with thoughtfulness and
maturity
- Recommend technology decisions that are best for the business
of LH
- Actively participate in maturing the Infrastructure
organization
- Ability to remove obstacles, and weaknesses that slow you and
the Infrastructure Team down
- Built infrastructure to detect problems, monitor health and
performance of networks, servers, ETL, and lower environments
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Tech
footprint experience:
- Wintel, Linux
- DR/BCP; Zerto, etc.
- Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare);
- Networking (Cisco, Dell, Fortinet)
- DB: Oracle, MongoDB, SQL;
- APM: AppDynamics, NewRelic, etc.
- DevOps platforms: Xebia, Enov8, ServiceNow, Plutora, etc.

is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada
residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
