Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Radio-Frequency (RF) Engineer for managing and providing technical oversight to different RF measurement ranges in Orlando, FL. The position is a hands-on aerospace-engineering hardware-focused RF engineer. The candidate must have experience in all stage of planning, execution, and collecting/reducing data from RF measurement ranges. In addition, the candidate must understand the basics of RF chamber drivers. The candidate would provide oversight to as many as two antenna measurement ranges, which include RCS measurement capability. Experience with Radome characterization testing is desired. Some travel may be required to support other MFC RF ranges.

Range oversight tasks include: maintaining test ranges and their equipment/infrastructure/tools to meet the highest standard of performance (, repeatability, efficacy in execution), managing field probe schedule balancing high utilization with minimal program delay, coordinating range improvements, responsible for standard operating procedures and sustaining compliance via audits and Lean Six Sigma events, maintaining system software and hard drives, optimizing scheduling, working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review range data and improvements, and managing the range capital/overhead budget.

As part of their tasks is the ability to coordinate and team with other Systems, RF, and groups. The position reports to a Group Manager, under the Research and Analysis Labs Senior Manager, operating as a key section of the Product and Hardware Engineering Directorate within Engineering and Technology for LM Missiles and Fire Control.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Bachelors degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering with 9 years' experience, or MS with 7 years in above degrees.

Fundamental Understanding in Electromagnetics, Transmission Line, and Antenna Theory

Experience using Network Analyzers and collecting RF measurements

Understanding of RF range management processes and range error budgets

Experience with Microsoft Office Products

Experience reducing data, fundamental analyses, and presenting results clearly

Experience authoring plans, procedures, and reports
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with and acceptance testing of RF ranges

Demonstrated experience with the calibration and safe operation of RF measurement equipment and techniques for the collection of data for antenna measurements, RCS data, and Radome Characterization.

Capable of developing and documenting new standard laboratory processes.

Capable of scheduling, de-conflicting, coordinating and executing multiple technical and lab test activities concurrently.
